Under the leadership of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, it is in charge of the national ethnic and religious work. Under the leadership of the CPC Central Committee, the Central Ethnic Affairs Commission is mainly:
1. Implement the Party's ethnic and religious policies, adhere to the freedom of ethnic and religious beliefs, and give full play to the role of ethnic and religious figures in promoting the reunification of the motherland and safeguarding world peace.
2. Unite representatives of ethnic minorities and religious circles, train representatives of ethnic and religious circles, and promote the development of ethnic and religious work.
3. Investigate and study the situation of ethnic and religious work, grasp the trends, put forward policy suggestions, coordinate ethnic and religious work, and contact relevant departments to help solve the problems existing in ethnic and religious work.
