Nearly 100 academic papers have been published, including On the Position and Function of Inner Museum in Song Dynasty (Zhonghua Book Company 1985, History of Song, Liao and Jin Dynasties 1), Promotion of Northern Song Dynasty in the Treasurer's Office in Beijing (China History Research1986,3), Zhou Shu at the end of Shaoxing and the beginning of Shaoxing, etc. On Scholars in Song Dynasty's Economic Life (Historical Research1992,2), Textual Research on Russian Dunhuang Jade Pieces (China Literature and History Series1993,52), Notes on Dunhuang Articles, Notes on Dunhuang Documents Collected in Shanghai Museum (1997). 8 ancient books, such as Records of Zhu Zi's Words and Actions and Records of Returning to the Field, were compiled and published. In 2002, he published the monograph Dunhuang Discourse. Papers published in recent years, such as the 800-year case report on the words and deeds of famous officials in the Eight Dynasties of Zhu, the ownership of the new Chunhua Pavilion in Shanghai Museum, why Dunhuang was once brilliant, on the collective pricing of the Four Books and its modern technological improvement, and a preliminary study on the value of the 25,000-mile literature, have been well received by academic circles and aroused great repercussions in society. He was one of the first speakers of Shanghai Oriental Forum. His monographs Gong Xueji (Finance and Literature in Song Dynasty) and Dunhuang Studies (Dunhuang Literature) will be published soon in Shanghai Ancient Books Publishing House.
At present, the monographs and research topics include: Dunhuang Discourse (revised edition), Xixia Discourse, Tibetan Discourse, Western Region Discourse, the formation of Dunhuang Studies and the modern traditional academic research in China, the technical examination of Fan Zhongyan's The Story of Yueyang Tower, and the study of notes in Song Dynasty.
