Qin Houzi, whose real name is Zhao Zhen, is the youngest son of his father Qin Huangong, so he was nicknamed "Qin Houzi". Zhao Zhen's brother is Qin Jinggong Zhao Shi.
Qin Houzi was loved by his father Huan Gong, but hated by his brother. After the death of Huan Gong, Zhao Zhen's mother was afraid that he would be persecuted by his brother, so she asked him to leave the State of Qin and take refuge in the State of Jin. After arriving in the State of Jin, Jin Pinggong Fengpei Township (now wenxi county, Shanxi) became his food city. After the death of Qin Jinggong, the Emperor of Qin returned to the State of Qin, and his descendants in Peixiang became Pei.
