Ma Kuang, courtesy name Ziping, nicknamed Mengxi. A native of Linyi, Shandong. He is currently a member of the Chinese Calligraphers Association, a director of the Shandong Federation of Cultural and Art Circles, and the vice chairman of the Linyi Federation of Literary and Art Circles.
Ma Kuang has been passionate about calligraphy since he was a child. He has studied under many famous masters and continues to explore and innovate, seeking breakthroughs and integration between tradition and modernity. His works are elegant and graceful in style, vigorous and majestic in style, and have both ancient meaning and modern interest.
The following are some representative works:
1. "Walking Cursive": This work uses the four characters "Heaven and Earth Xuanhuang" as the theme, written in smooth and free cursive style, "Heaven and Earth" The mystery of "black and yellow" is vividly displayed in the ink color.
2. "Chunhui": This work is presented in the form of couplets, "Chunhui is as passionate as fire", using official script and embellished with some small seal strokes.
3. "The Book of Songs·Guan Ju": "Guan Ju Jiu, in the river island." This poem is known as one of the oldest folk songs in China, and "Guan Ju" has also become a important cultural symbol. Ma Kuang converted it into regular script and framed it with exquisite patterns.
4. "Fu Shou Kang Ning": This work uses seal script to write the four characters "Fu Shou Kang Ning" and is framed with auspicious patterns.
