Zhao Mingcheng collected, catalogued and researched the stone carving documents all his life, and wrote a book "Records of Stone Carving Documents". There are 30 volumes of Jinshilu, from Xia, Shang and Zhou Dynasties to the Five Dynasties, which recorded more than 2,000 inscriptions and rubbings of Zhong Ding Yi wares. The first ten volumes of this book are a chronological table of contents; The last twenty volumes are prefaces and postscripts, which trace the origin of these rubbings. In fact, Zhao Mingcheng is the main author of Jin Shi Lu, which he and his wife Li Qingzhao finished together. Because it was an eventful autumn, the nomads from the Jin Dynasty invaded the Song Dynasty, the emperors of the two dynasties were exiled, and the whole country was in chaos, with frequent wars and repeated military disasters. Coupled with the early death of Zhao Mingcheng, Li Qingzhao lost everything in order to keep the antiques she had collected in exile for many years.
After Zhao Mingcheng's death, Li Qingzhao revisited Jin Shilu and recalled that she and Zhao Mingcheng had "two volumes of collating and one volume of inscription" every night. Now, "hands are like graves", which is really mixed feelings. To this end, she wrote an article as important as her poem-Preface to the Inscription. She wrote in the preface: "Every time you get a book, it will be sorted out and signed;" Getting calligraphy and painting, playing with books and criticizing defects are fascinating.
