Hundred schools of thought in the pre-Qin and Han Dynasties was basically described by disciples, and some of them were the self-reports of these pre-Qin philosophers.

Confucius has The Analects compiled by his disciples, The Book of Changes with his own annotations, and The Book of Songs compiled by himself.

Lao Zi has Lao Zi, and the legend is a lecture recorded by Guan Yin Zi when Lao Zi sent a letter to Gu Guan.

Zhuangzi has Zhuangzi, which consists of three parts: internal, external and miscellaneous. It is said that the internal and external parts are the records of his disciples, and the miscellaneous departments have their own writings.

Xunzi has a book Xunzi. Mencius has a book, Mencius. Mozi has a book Mozi. It is said that the teacher's words were recorded by his disciples, not my own works.

Han Feizi has a book, Han Feizi and Historical Records, both of which are his own works.

Sun Tzu's art of war has been passed down from generation to generation, and the historical record is unknown. Some legends are my own works, some say that only half of them have been circulated, and some say that they are not Sun Wu's own works at all.

In Zhuangzi, which mainly records the thoughts of Gong Sunlong and Hui Shi, their own ideological works have been lost, and later generations compiled and edited a Gong Sunlong Zi through various ancient books.

Yang Zhu's thoughts were recorded in the Warring States Period, mainly through some chapters of Mencius. According to textual research, some contents were mixed into Liezi, but some people think that Liezi was not written during the Warring States period, but was written by later generations under the guise.

These books are collected in the branches of four libraries.
