Dendrobium huoshanense, Saussurea involucrata, Ginseng Radix, Polygonum Multiflori Radix. It is listed as the nine immortals in China, and Dendrobium huoshanense ranks first among the nine immortals. You can take a closer look at Baidu, and almost all the Dendrobium recorded from Shennong Herbal Classic to Compendium of Materia Medica are Dendrobium huoshanense. Dendrobium huoshanense actually refers to Dendrobium huoshanense, a leading fern, which is characterized by a body length of less than 3cm and a shape of rice grains, slightly larger than rice grains, which is also the origin of its name.
Dendrobium candidum is the first of the nine immortals. Most Dendrobium candidum can be planted on a large scale from Guangxi and Yunnan to South China, Zhejiang and Anhui. Among them, Yunnan is ripe once a year, mass-produced and priced by tons, which makes other Saussurea involucrata and Cordyceps sinensis tied for the Nine Immortals. What a shame!
There are actually many kinds of Dendrobium in China. Dendrobium candidum is indeed a valuable tonic after Dendrobium huoshanense, but it is not the first of the Nine Immortals! .....
