Use automatic line
1. Open the Word document and select the text or space to be underlined.
2. On the Insert tab, click the shape drop-down menu and select the line option.
3. In the line menu that pops up, select the required line style and color.
4. Hold down the left mouse button in the document and drag the mouse to draw the required lines.
5. If you need to adjust the length or angle of the line, you can do it by dragging the control points at both ends of the line.
Use shapes
1. Open the Word document and select the text or space to be underlined.
2. On the Insert tab, click the shape drop-down menu and select the desired shape.
3. Hold down the left mouse button in the document and drag the mouse to draw the required shape.
4. Right-click the shape and select the Format Shape option.
5. In the pop-up format and shape menu, select line color and line style.
6. If you need to adjust the size or angle of the shape, you can do it by dragging the edge or control point of the shape.
Hand drawing
1. Open the Word document and select the text or space to be underlined.
2. On the Insert tab, click the shape drop-down menu and select the free-drawing option.
3. Hold down the left mouse button in the document and use the mouse to draw the required lines freely.
4. After drawing, select the line color and line style in the Shape Format tab.
5. If you need to adjust the length or angle of the line, you can do it by dragging the control points at both ends of the line.
