The content is basically the same as Xiong's Biography of Northern Song Dynasty (also known as Biography of Yang Jiajiang and Romance of Yang Jiajiang). This novel tells the heroic deeds of generations of Yangmen family who fought bravely for their motherland. While focusing on the fierce ethnic contradictions, the works also exposed the corruption within the feudal ruling group and the fatuity and incompetence of the supreme ruler to some extent, and expressed the people's ideals and aspirations of resisting foreign invasion, condemning power traitors and praising loyalty. The language is simple, vivid and bold. However, the arrangement of the plot is not appropriate and the image is relatively rough. It was published in the thirty-fourth year of Ming Dynasty (1606) and reprinted in the fourteenth year of Qing Jiaqing (1809). The Romance of Yangjiafu published by Shanghai Ancient Books Publishing House 1980 was printed according to the above magazine.
The novel begins with Yang Ye, a Song general, fighting against Liao, trapped in a tight encirclement and touching a monument. Twelve widows went to the Western Expedition and returned to Taihang Mountain in triumph, interspersed with Yang Ye, Yang, Yang Zongbao, Yang (in Xiong's novel The Romance of Yang Jiajiang, Yang was Yang's son, Yang Ye's grandson, while in The Romance of Yangjiafu, Yang Wenguang was Yang Zongbao's son) and Yang Huaiyu's achievements in the five generations of generals. Among them, the description of female generals in Yangmen is particularly vivid, and many female heroes represented by Mu have been created.
