Xue Tan's Translation

There is no end to learning, and you must never be complacent with a little achievement. Be open-minded and eager to learn, pursue learning and ask more questions. Don't study lightly, be open-minded and persist.

From: Liezi Tang Wen.

Xue Tan studied from Qin Qing, but he said that he had exhausted his skills and resigned. Qu, who stopped in the suburbs, caressed the elegy and trembled the treetops, which was very sonorous. Xue Tan was so grateful that she never dared to speak for life.

Commentary: Xue Tan studied singing from Qin Qing, but he didn't fully master Qin Qing's singing skills. He thought he had learned everything, so he went back. Qin Qing didn't dissuade him, and gave a banquet on the roadside outside the city to set wine and food to see him off. Qin Qing beat, sang elegies, and sang generous and magnificent songs. The song shook the trees and stopped the flowing clouds.

Xue Tan apologized (to Qin Qing) and wanted to come back to continue his studies. He never dared to say anything about going back in his life.

Creation background

This ancient prose tells people that there is no end to learning. If you succeed, don't be complacent. Don't try to learn. Learn with an open mind and persevere. It doesn't matter if you make a mistake, correction is the most important thing.

Don't be complacent just because you have a little superficial knowledge, study hard and surpass yourself. Because learning is endless, and you will always make progress.

Learn scientific and cultural knowledge with an open mind, or you will never finish it. Don't be arrogant, correct your mistakes when you know them.

This story shows that learning must be modest, persistent and not complacent. At the same time, it also gives us enlightenment: on the one hand, it can be said that proper positive education can get good results. Truth is abstracted from real life. Conversely, when it is used to guide students in reality, it should be concrete and visual, and the guidance of teachers should be rational and emotional.

For students who are easy to be complacent, such guidance can often let them see the bright spots in others, let them objectively evaluate themselves and others, let them really know how to achieve all-round development and truly become "four haves" talents, thus inspiring their valuable enterprising spirit.

Liezi walked against the wind before his death and eventually became immortal, leaving a gossip platform for future generations. The Eight Diagrams Royal Wind Platform is an octagonal platform on the South Gaogang of Dongerlibao, Zhengzhou, with eight diagrams painted on it and Liezi statues next to it. Here, the mountains are high and the forests are dense, the clouds are lingering, and the wind blows the trees down. Standing in front of the jade peak and looking at Liezi's statue, I can really feel a little fairy.

Therefore, Zhengzhou people call this kind of scenery "Guatai Fairy Scene" and list it as one of the eight scenic spots in Zhengzhou. Later generations came to see Liezi Temple (Liezi Taoist Temple), visited Yufeng Terrace, and admired the noble character of the sages and the royal demeanor of Liezi. They can't help but praise generously and compose poems.

During the Song You period, Sean Song, a native of Zhengzhou, wrote "Liezi View": "Zhu Yi's defensive merits are two articles, and he is back in the palace. So the wall of the market is broken and the dust box is empty. There is no shortage of money, but there is still wind in the clothes. You Xuan once stayed in the country. He is very noble. "

Praise Liezi's noble quality: Zhengzhou people in the Qing Dynasty wrote "Dengfengtai": "The sentences I read before are now on Liezi's platform. The wind blows the spring grass green and the wild flowers bloom. The fairy returns, the shepherd boy returns. I hate Zhu Wei because of the wind. " Zhang Yue's "Hanging the Fairy Scenes on the Taiwan": Zhuang Lao can be in tune, and Xiao Liao can travel far away. What people didn't know at that time was that the traces here were local.

Jathyapple contains the floating world, and the idle clouds embrace the ancient hills. The vicissitudes of life have changed several times, and the crane is high in autumn. In the 20th year of Guangxu reign in Qing Dynasty, Zhengzhou studied Yanzhao Zhu's Guatai Fairy Scene: "Jiao Jiao is always proud, but it is futile to go against the wind. Congenital hexagrams spread to turtles, and the platform was pulled up because the crane drove high. Guangdong thought that the clouds in Xiling were dark and the shadow of Bianshui was surging in the distance. Writing a book to talk about imaginary things should be praised by the history of lacquer gardens. " Write scenes and express your feelings.
