Historically, Li Mu gave his life as a savior on the battlefield, and was knighted by officials, and he was spared death for ten times. Why did he help others steal power behind their backs?

Because Li Mu is a person who can see the situation clearly, stealing power for others is because the country is dying. Since Yu Wentai, Li Mu has made great achievements, and every emperor hopes that Li Mu can devote himself to himself.

Li Mu gave his life to save Yu Wentai on the battlefield and won the trust and reward of Yu Wentai. Li Mu is a very clever man, and many ancient books have praised him. Zhou Shu said that Li Mu was "not very wise and measured", and Sui Shu also praised him: "Fengshen is alert and handsome, and has a strange festival." Li Mu's talent is deeply loved by Yu Wentai, and Li Mu has proved himself to be a trustworthy person with practical actions.

In August of the third year of Datong, when Yu Wentai was in Mangshan, there was a fierce battle. Yu Wentai's mount was accidentally shot by an arrow, and the frightened livestock lost control, throwing Yu Wentai to the ground. When other soldiers saw the fall of the Lord, they were at a loss and didn't know what to do. Beiqi army took this opportunity to pursue them. At that moment, Li Mu broke through and went in. Turning over and dismounting, he reached Yu Wentai, pulled out his whip and whipped Yu Wentai, but he also shouted at him, "Where is the Lord of the Second Cao? I live here alone! " The Qi army didn't dare to strike back at the sight of the people on the ground. Unlike the general, they did not continue to pursue.

Later, however, Li Mu helped Emperor Wen of Sui to seize power. After Yuwen Yong's death, Xuan Di, Emperor Wen of Zhou, became emperor, but he was dissolute and died young, so power fell to Emperor Wen of Sui. After Emperor Wendi entered the DPRK, Wei Chijiong expressed strong dissatisfaction and chose to send troops to rebel. At the same time, I hope that Li Mu, then the general manager of Bingzhou, can respond to him, and the two will cooperate to regain power. However, Li Mu devoted himself to Emperor Wendi and strongly supported Emperor Wendi's accession to the throne.
