Mongolia did not start participating in the Olympic Games until 1964. Won 1 silver and 3 bronze medals at the 1968 Mexico Olympics. Except for the 1984 and 2000 Olympic Games, medals have been earned in all the years. Mongolia won 2 golds and 2 bronzes in the 2008 Beijing Olympics and 2 silvers and 3 bronzes in the 2012 Olympics.
