The eight words "Five Stars Out of the East, Benefiting China" come from Historical Records Biography of Celestial Officials written by Sima Qian, a historian of the Western Han Dynasty. Western accumulation, foreign users (soldiers) benefit.
Interpretation: "When the five stars come out of the East, it will benefit China", that is, the astronomical phenomenon that the five stars appear together in the East will benefit China's military.

Five-star crusade not only benefited China with words, but also had five colors of cyan, red, yellow, white and green, all of which were derived from plant dyes widely developed since Qin and Han Dynasties. The five colors should be "green, red, yellow, white and black", and the colors of the brocade should be "green, red, yellow, white and green", in which green should be black, and green is used here. Maybe black is not bright enough, so use green instead.
The five colors of "blue, red, yellow, white and black" correspond to the five-star "Old Star, Twinkling Star, Complementary Star, Taibai Star and Chen Star".
