How was the ancient imperial mausoleum named? For example, are there any special words for Yuling, Xiaoling and Maoling?

There is no data to show that there are strict rules for the naming of ancient tombs, which can be roughly divided into two types:

One is according to your respectful name, posthumous title, etc.

For example, the word "Zhao" in Emperor Taizong's Zhaoling is a commendatory term, which is also consistent with Emperor Taizong's honorific title "Guang Xiao with great martial arts". According to the obituary law, "the sacred text is bright, and Mingde is meritorious and bright." For example, Li Longji Tailing in Xuanzong, Shili chongling in Dezong, Dingling in Li Xian in Zhongzong, Qiaoling in Li Dan in Zong Rui and Hengli Guangling in Mu Zong. Words such as, offering, setting, bridge, tai and worship are all commendatory terms related to the emperor's honorific title or posthumous title.

Second, it is named according to the location of the mausoleum;

For example, Changling and Anling in the Western Han Dynasty were named after being located in Chang 'an. Yangling is named after its location in Yiyang County. Pingling is named after its location in Pingyuan Township: Maoling is named after its location in Maoxiang Township; Fuling is named after water, and so on.
