Wuguandao of Wuguandao

Wuguandao is an important road connecting the Guanzhong area and Jianghan area. During the Warring States Period, beacon smoke was rising on Wuguan Road. In the two battles of Danyang and Lantian, Qin defeated the Chu army. After Qin Shihuang unified the six countries, he made five tours across the country, including two on Wuguan Road. The Western Han Dynasty flourished in Wuguandao and died in Wuguandao.

The Song, Jin and Song Yuan Dynasties fought at Wuguandao. During the two hundred years of peace in the Tang Dynasty, Wuguandao rarely used troops. At that time, its main role was in political, economic and cultural communication between the north and the south.

During the Zhenguan and Kaiyuan years, most transportation between Chang'an and Jianghuai required tribute materials and heavy luggage to be transferred via the Yellow River, Bianshui River and Weihe River. Government and private business travelers mostly used Shangshan Road. Convenient conditions. At that time, Shangzhou was "the most prosperous in postal communication, superior to other states." Bai Juyi once made a specific description in his poem "Climbing the Highest Top of Shang Mountain": "High up on the top of the mountain, looking back are just smoke and clouds. There is a road below, connecting Chu and Qin. Either the name lures his heart, or the profit pulls him. The body. Riders and carriers have nothing to do with their comings and goings. " At that time, most of the Shangshan Road was along the north side of Danshui. The mountain road was not wide, covered with trees, and most of the roads were on the top of the mountain or on the mountainside. Jia Dao described it. It is said that "there is no mountain to meet, and there is not even half a mile in a hundred miles." It can be seen that the road is relatively difficult to travel.

In order to change such road conditions and facilitate transportation, the imperial court carried out many repairs to Shangshan Road during the middle and late Tang Dynasties. In August of the seventh year of Zhenyuan (AD 791) of Dezong, Li Xihua, the governor of Shangzhou, was ordered to recruit more than 100,000 laborers. While widening the old road from Lantian to Neixiang for more than 700 miles, he also blocked the water stream and built a new road. The road was opened, and "bridges and roads were built and official houses were built" along the way, so that "no people were stranded on Shangshan Road and it was convenient for travelers".

After Shangshan Road was overhauled, the Shang Yu Posthouse was newly built. A specially made stone tablet was erected in front of the post in Shangzhou. The inscription asked the prince's guest Liu Gongquan to write it, and the forehead of the tablet was respectfully sealed by Li Shangyin, the secretary. . Those who participated in it were all famous people in the dynasty, which shows that the project was not small. In recent years, Shangluo's road transportation has been greatly expanded to the surrounding space with the strong support of the state. The two railways from Xi'an to Nanjing and Xi'an to Ankang, the Shanghai-Shaanxi, Yinwu, and Xikang expressways and the under-construction The four expressways of the Second Xishang Corridor pass through Shangzhou, Shanyang, Zhashui, and Luonan, completely eliminating the traffic obstacles of the "Datang Shangshan Road" in the past, improving transportation facilities, and forming a multi-channel transportation network extending in all directions. , ushering in a modern high-level transportation era for Shangluo. Shangluo City has been integrated into the "Xi'an One-Hour Economic Circle".
