Taoism doesn't have the god of Hong Jun's bodhi old zu, which is purely made up of fairy tales, but the author didn't make it up completely. In ancient times, it was called zenith, and Hong Jun had the meaning of nature. In orthodox Taoism, Sanqing is considered to be the embodiment of the personality of Avenue, so it means nature in Tao Te Ching, so there is the saying that Hong Jun's bodhi old zu taught Sanqing.
But in fact, in orthodox Taoism, only Sanqing is the highest, and the highest in Sanqing is the original Buddha, but historically, the earliest is the Taishang Laojun of Tianshi Road, and Sanqing deity was established after Tao Hongjing's real spiritual status, and it was probably only in the Song Dynasty that it was fully formed.
Then there is the problem of Tathagata, probably influenced by Journey to the West. In fact, there is no such thing as a Tathagata in Buddhism. Generally, Tathagata refers to Buddha Sakyamuni, the founder of Buddhism. Tathagata is one of the ten Buddhas. It is true, it is true.
Who is older, the Tathagata or the Jade Emperor? Let's just say that if you are a Taoist, you think the Jade Emperor is older. If you are a Buddhist and you think that Buddha is supreme, it is not a system at all.
