Reasons for Controversy
There are so many controversies about Jueyin disease articles, which are mainly due to the following reasons:
1. Lack of clarity. In the original 56 articles on Jueyin disease, except for articles 326-329, which explicitly put forward Jueyin disease, none of the other articles were crowned with the word Jueyin disease.
2. There is complexity. There are many syndromes listed in Jue Yin Disease, involving cold and heat mixed, Jue heat overcoming recovery, vomiting and vomiting, and various Jue syndromes. The contents are complex and the main line is unknown.
3. obvious difference. Jueyin disease articles include syndromes of excessive heat such as Baihu decoction and Xiaochengqi decoction, as well as syndromes of excessive cold such as Sini decoction and Tongmai Sini decoction, and there are two extremes of cold and heat, with great differences.
Based on the above reasons, there are disputes about the content of Jueyin disease in different aspects, levels and angles in later generations. These disputes have some theoretical and practical basis, but they can't fully and perfectly explain the actual connotation of Jueyin disease.
Premise and Outline
First of all, whether it is the content of Jueyin disease can't be measured by whether it is labeled with the word "Jueyin disease".
The clauses in the other Five Classics may not all be preceded by the disease, and even if they are preceded by the disease, they may not all belong to the disease. For example, many articles titled "sun disease" belong to the category of miscellaneous diseases; At the same time, the articles titled "typhoid fever" in Treatise on Febrile Diseases may not all belong to the category of typhoid fever.
Therefore, there is no definite basis to separate out part of the articles on Jueyin disease, or to think that most of the articles without the premise of Jueyin disease do not belong to Jueyin disease.
Different understandings about the outline of Jueyin disease, especially those who supplement or re-establish the outline of Jueyin disease, are stubborn understandings of the word "outline", and think that since it is an "outline" of a disease, it should completely contain all the contents of the meridian.
In fact, "outline" means "outline leads", which puts forward a general concept of a disease and can reflect the characteristics of the disease, thus playing the role of a summary.
article 326 of treatise on febrile diseases says: "Jue yin is a disease, quenching thirst, causing qi to collide with the heart, causing pain and heat in the heart, and hunger without eating, and vomiting when eating, which is beneficial. "Pain in the heart" and "endless benefits" reflect the pathogenesis of upper heat and lower cold, and cold and heat are mixed; "Qi hitting the heart" reflects the pathology of qi stagnation and incoordination of Yin and Yang. "Hungry but unwilling to eat, eating will make you vomit, and the benefits will not stop" reflects the complex symptoms of vomiting and benefits.
Therefore, Article 326 basically contains the pathogenesis symptoms of Jueyin disease, such as cold and heat mixed, Jue heat overcoming recovery, limb syncope, vomiting and vomiting, and the grammar of this article is consistent with that of other five meridians, so there is no doubt that it is an outline of Jueyin disease.
classification of syndromes
The main syndromes of Jueyin disease are different, such as Jue-heat winning or losing, Jue-reverse limb cold, cold-heat mixed and vomiting, so there is no single main syndrome and prescription for Jueyin disease.
by sorting out and classifying the contents of treatise on febrile diseases, differentiation and treatment of pulse syndrome of Jue yin, it can be roughly divided into six categories: Jue yin summary, Jue heat overcoming recovery, differentiation and treatment of Jue syndrome, prognosis of Jue syndrome, differentiation and treatment of vomiting and purgation.
Among them, "Jue Yin Summary" briefly introduces the outline of Jue Yin disease, the time of solution, conditioning and Jue Yin stroke, while "Jue Re Sheng" makes a detailed induction and analysis of the comparison between Jue Re and Fever.
The other four categories, following the basic principle that six meridians diseases are divided into basic syndromes, concurrent syndromes, variant syndromes and generic syndromes, respectively list the basic syndromes and generic syndromes of corresponding diseases, aiming at distinguishing the symptoms of Jueyin disease from those with the same symptoms but different pathogenesis, and at the same time, it is also a concrete manifestation of different treatments for the same disease.
To classify syndromes of Jueyin disease, we must first understand the basic principles of syndrome classification of six meridians, which is not only the basis for classifying Jueyin disease, but also the principle that all syndromes of six meridians must follow.
The principles of syndrome differentiation and classification of Six Meridian Diseases: First, it must reflect the basic physiological and pathological characteristics of the meridians and viscera to which this meridian belongs; Second, it must reflect the physiological and pathological characteristics of yin-yang qi transformation and qi movement to which this meridian belongs; Third, it is necessary to reflect the law of gas conghua in this classic specimen; Fourth, we must take care of the relationship between this meridian and its affiliated organs and neighboring meridians and their affiliated organs.
this syndrome of Jue yin disease should be based on liver and pericardial diseases. Jue yin meridian is located between Sanyin meridian and Sanyang meridian, and when the two yin meridians are crossed, the cathode is yang, and the yin is yang, then it changes from yin to yang, so its symptoms are mostly cold and hot poles.
Jueyin is based on the ethos, which is marked by Jueyin, and Shaoyang is seen in the middle. The six qi of Jueyin are not from the specimen, but from the qi in the fire of Shaoyang, and the ethos of Jueyin is smooth, and the fire of Shaoyang is reduced to the sum, that is, the so-called liver qi should be raised, gallbladder qi should be lowered, and the combination of the two meridians ensures the smooth regulation of qi and the dredging of waterways. If Jue Yin comes on, you will see that the atmosphere is depressed and the liver is out of reach, which leads to the fire of pericardium and the imbalance of cold and heat in the liver meridian.
Jueyin's transformation from middle qi must also involve its origin and standard, so it is too much and too little to follow the origin, standard and gasification from it. Jueyin is subordinate to the cremation of middle qi and less yang, and if the transformation of middle qi is also the standard of Jueyin, it will become a syndrome of cold and heat, and Jue heat will win or lose; If the transformation of middle qi is also the root of Jue yin, and wind and heat are combined, it will become a syndrome of heat Jue.
According to the principle of syndrome differentiation and classification of six meridians, combined with the location of Jueyin meridian, connected viscera and gasification characteristics, the syndrome classification of Jueyin disease is determined, which can be roughly divided into four categories: 1. 2. Cold-heat syndrome; 3. Syndrome of limb syncope; 4. Vomiting is beneficial.
in treatise on febrile diseases, syndrome differentiation and treatment of Jueyin, except for the clauses related to the syndrome of Jueyin, all other syndromes are mutual confirmation of Jueyin's original syndrome and similar syndrome.
The purpose of establishing syndrome differentiation is to differentiate Jue Yin disease more accurately. After we classify the syndromes of Jueyin disease according to the principle of syndrome classification of six meridians, we can find that the contents of Jueyin disease seem disordered, but in fact they are not complicated, and these Jueyin syndromes of Jueyin disease, cold-heat mixed syndrome, limb syncope syndrome and vomiting and vomiting can all echo the outline of Article 326.
