Sun Yirang, the author of this book, is a famous master of Confucian classics in the late Qing Dynasty. Together with Sun Yirang, Yu Yue and Huang Yizhou, they are called "three gentlemen of the late Qing Dynasty", and they have made great achievements not only in Confucian classics, but also in education. Sun Yirang was born in Wenzhou, Zhejiang. He is a real Wenzhou Rui 'an. Sun Yirang's father was a scholar of Daoguang for thirty years, and he was able to enter the Imperial Academy. He later worked as an official for 20 years. Therefore, Sun Yirang was born in a scholarly family and was influenced by a good culture since he was a child. Sun Yirang studied Zhou Li, Han Wei, poetry and literature with his father. Although Sun Yirang's life was in the background of China turmoil and foreign powers' invasion, it did not affect Sun Yirang's enjoyment in the book.

Despite the constant wars outside, Hong Xiuquan's Taiping Heavenly Kingdom Movement and the war of aggression against China by the British and French allied forces, all these can't affect Sun Yirang's roaming in ancient books. Needless to say, it is books that make Sun's life so peaceful. After six years of Tongzhi, Sun Yirang won the election. However, in the next five exams, Sun Yiran did not win. Soon after Sun Yirang became a minister of punishments, he gave up his official position and began to study literature. Since then, he has gone further and further on the academic road. Sun Yirang's Zhou Li Justice, Zhou Li Justice and other ancient books have become important references for future generations to study Mozi Gu Jian and Zhou Li. Therefore, Sun Yirang is called "the rear area of Confucian classics in the late Qing Dynasty".

What has Sun Yirang achieved?

Sun Yirang, a native of Zhejiang in the late Qing Dynasty, served as a juror in Tongzhi for six years, but unfortunately failed to pass the exam. He later worked in the Ministry of Public Security and the Ministry of Criminal Justice and then devoted himself to academic research for 40 years. "Master of Park Studies", "School of Confucian Classics in Late Qing Dynasty" and "300-year-old gifted scholar" are all his good reputations. He was a famous patriot, master of Confucian classics and educator in the late Qing Dynasty. His life is full of achievements.

First, academic performance. Sun Yirang's achievements are definitely academic, because he has been studying ancient books for more than 40 years. He was called a master of Confucian classics in the late Qing Dynasty. The outstanding representatives of these studies are Zheng Yi, Fan Wen and Lu Wenjing.

Second, there are many works. Another achievement of Sun Yirang is his works. In addition to the above-mentioned Justice Zhou Li, there are many, many or even incomplete historical estimates. For example, Zheng Yaoshi's ancient dam, Mingyuan in Bahrain, Linshu, Zhou Li and Fan Shi in Wen Qi. Zheng Yi in Zhou Li, in particular, almost exhausted Sun Yirang's life.

Third, innovative achievements. Sun Yirang's achievements are related to his innovative ideas. He has been in contact with western science and advanced politics for a long time and feels that this country needs innovation more than ordinary people. Therefore, he urged everyone to learn from the west, from their politics, from their economy and from their education, and not just talk but do nothing.

Fourth, educational achievements. Sun Yirang's achievements are also related to his educational thoughts. He believes that whether people are smart or stupid is directly related to the future of the whole country. So he insisted that education should start with children and everyone should learn. In addition, he also suggested that officials should have academic qualifications and can be officials without studying. In action, he founded vocational schools, popularized education, advocated equality for all and attached importance to teacher training. He was a famous educator in the late Qing Dynasty.

Among Sun Yirang's works, Mozi is the most representative. It is a work that Sun Yirang himself is proud of, and it is also the most outstanding work among many classics in Qing Dynasty. It is a book that records the management of official system in ancient China. I think Sun Yirang's Justice in Zhou Li is a book of justice written by Duke Zhou. It was created by the late king, politics and religion. It combines the essence of the legal system of the Zhou Dynasty. This shows the importance of Zhou Li in Sun Yirang's mind. After paying enough attention to the Book of Changes, Sun Yirang made up his mind to annotate the Zhou Li for the convenience of reading.

Because of this passion, Sun Yirang's book Zhou Li was finally made public. But Zhou Li's writing can't be accomplished overnight. Since Qin and Han Dynasties, many scholars have evaluated Zhou Li, but these evaluations are either too abstruse or too rough to reflect the connotation of Zhou Li. However, Sun Yirang's Zhou Li was written in 1873 and completed in 1899, with a total of 86 volumes. It synthesizes Zhou Li's previous research results and perfectly interprets Zhou Li's purpose and essence.

Sun Yirang's former residence is located in Xia Yan Village, Jinhu Street, Ruian City, Zhejiang Province. Due to the turbulent situation and frequent wars, Sun Yirang's former residence built in 186 1 was reduced to ashes in a fire. What is left is only the ruins and terraces destroyed by the fire. Three years later, Sun Yirang's father rebuilt the house on the ruins and added two rooms to the old house. At that time, Sun Yirang was 17 years old. In the newly-built house, Sun Yirang learned to read and write, and spent the most peaceful reading years.

Today, Sun Yirang's former residence has become a key cultural relic protection unit in Ruian. There are four sedan chairs in front. People get off the sedan chair, and the sedan chair bearers rest for tea. Nowadays, the garage has become an elderly association and a good place for the elderly to get together and discuss problems. Enter from the car lobby and walk along a T-shaped stone road to the front of the main house. The main building is a huge former residence of Sun Yirang, with nine rooms wide, two more than the seven rooms in the old house. The spacious main building gives people a feeling of being suddenly enlightened and frightening. The balcony doors on the third floor and the grey tiles on the cornices have also become important symbols of Sun Yirang's former residence.
