Cenxi City, a county-level city under the jurisdiction of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, is managed by Wuzhou City.
Cenxi City is located in the southeast of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, at the junction of Guangdong and Guangxi, and it is one of the joint points of Guangdong-Guangxi exchanges and the Pearl River Delta economic circle and Southwest China. As of 213, Cenxi has jurisdiction over 14 towns: Cencheng, Nuodong, Chengjian, Guiyi, Jinzhu, Daye, Limu, Dalong, Nandu, Malu, Sanbao, Botang, Anping and Shuiwen.

Historical evolution
In August p>1989, six townships, including Jinzhu, Sanbao, Chengjian, Malu, Potang and Shuiwen, were changed into towns, and the county was divided into 16 towns and 1 township.
In September, 1995, Cenxi withdrew from the county and set up a city (county-level city), which still belongs to Wuzhou area.
in April, 1997, it was changed to be managed by Wuzhou city.
