Our young group began to study how to extract and separate effective antimalarial components from traditional Chinese medicine. In the first stage of the work, more than 2000 kinds of traditional Chinese medicines were studied, of which 640 kinds may have antimalarial effects. We evaluated 380 kinds of extracts of about 200 kinds of traditional Chinese medicines in a mouse model. However, this process is not smooth. It is not easy to make great discoveries.
