Brief introduction of Wanyuan Defence War History Exhibition Hall

National Red Tourism Classic Scenic Spot and National Patriotism Education Demonstration Base. Located in Red Army Park (formerly Tuoshan Park, Wanyuan City), Dazhou City, Sichuan Province. It is a special memorial hall to commemorate the "Wanyuan Defence War" with the longest time, the largest scale, the hardest battle and the most brilliant record in the history of the Fourth Army of the Chinese Workers and Peasants Red Army. 1986 was completed and opened in March. The museum site is located on the left side of the Red Army Park on the outskirts of Wanyuan, covering an area of 12 mu, with a building area of 2,340 square meters. Comrade Xu commented on this campaign: "The siege of Liuxiang by the Sixth Route was the longest and hardest battle we fought in Sichuan. In the history of the Red Fourth Front Army, it can also be said to be the largest and longest-lasting battle ... the most brilliant battle ... the decisive defense in Wanyuan area is the most decisive in the fight against the' six-route siege'. If Wanyuan falls, our army is in danger of being squeezed out of northern Sichuan. The enemy is desperate, so are we. This is a decisive battle related to the life and death of the Sichuan-Shaanxi revolutionary base area. We can't do it unless we have to! "

Many historians have come to the conclusion that if the "Wanyuan Defence War" fails, the Red Fourth Front Army is driven out of northern Sichuan and the Sichuan-Shaanxi revolutionary base area is bound to be destroyed, then 200,000 Kuomintang troops will attack the Central Red Army on the way to the Long March. The Central Red Army, with only 30,000 people left, will not be supported by the Red Fourth Front Army, but will be besieged and blocked by the enemy of Sichuan, Guizhou and Yunnan, and even be in danger of being eaten by the enemy, thus greatly delaying the whole process of the China revolution. Therefore, the great victory of Wanyuan Defence War is not only related to the life and death of the Red Fourth Front Army and the Sichuan-Shaanxi Soviet Area, but also to the fate of the whole Red Army of workers and peasants and the future of the China revolution.

Since the completion of Wanyuan Defence War History Exhibition Hall 12, it has received more than 100,000 visitors and young students at home and abroad10. Party and state leaders visited the museum and spoke highly of it. 199 1 Wanyuan War History Exhibition Hall was rated as a provincial advanced cultural unit. 1995 was named as "patriotic education base" by Sichuan provincial party Committee, provincial people's government, Dachuan prefectural party Committee and regional administrative office respectively, especially after the ten episodes of TV series "The Source of Thousands of Blood" were broadcast in the central government and major TV stations, the tourists who came to visit were even more endless.

Wanyuan Defence War History Exhibition Hall has become a historical museum that remembers the achievements of the Red Army, the legacy of Burmese martyrs, and cultivates revolutionary sentiment and noble character.
