Hua Xu Mausoleum Records

Lieyukou, the author of Liezi, is said to be a native of Zheng during the Warring States Period. The Hanshu, which recorded eight examples, has long since died out. The existing book Liezi, according to scholars' textual research, is considered to be a fake work by metaphysical scholars in Wei and Jin Dynasties, which was carefully collected and sorted out by Zhang Zhan in the Eastern Jin Dynasty. Tang Xuanzong named Liezi as a real person in Xu Chong and respected Liezi as the true sutra of Xu Chong. This is because at the beginning of the founding of the Tang Dynasty, Li's royal family adopted Laozi (Li Er), the ancestor of Taoism, in order to give the royal family a sacred and bright color and strengthen their prestige, so as to raise the status of Taoism. Taoism developed strongly in the Song Dynasty, and several emperors, including the founding emperor Zhao Kuangyin, were closely related to Taoist celebrities at that time. In Song Zhenzong, he changed "Xu Chong Zhen Jing" to "Xu Chong to Zhen Jing". Zhuangzi Zapian has an article, Lieyu Kou, written in a few words. Liezi and Zhuangzi are mostly folk tales, fables and myths, with more arguments than narratives, which are of high literary value and contain profound philosophical thoughts. The things mentioned in the book are not historical records, and it is not the style of historians to quote it to interpret the historical process, which lacks authenticity and scientificity and cannot be accepted by historians.

Some scholars believe that on the basis of Zhuangzi's theory, Lieyukou has extensively absorbed many ancient books of Qin and Han Dynasties, such as Guoyu, Mozi, Shan Hai Jing, Lu Chunqiu and Da Dai, and expanded them into Liezi. His exposition is not limited to low-level animals, but also includes high-level animals and humans. Therefore, Liezi may retain some historical information or prehistoric word-of-mouth rumors rarely seen in official history and unofficial history. In this way, whether the country of Hua Xushi mentioned in Liezi Huangdi exists has become a historical mystery.

Hua Xushi's works are not limited to A Trip to Tasha: A Dream on the River and Liezi: The Yellow Emperor. There are countless ancient books describing Hua Xushi.

"Thirteen Classics of Mountains and Seas" Guo Pu's note: "Great traces are in Leize, followed by Hua Xu, and Fuxi is born." "The Emperor's Century" also said: "The cherished mother's name is Hua Xushi, and there are great people in the world, and Hua Xushi loves it." The Chronicle of Bamboo Books is more specific: "The mother of Tai Hao, who lives in Zhu, Hua Xu, has moved. The rainbow surrounds it, so it is pregnant, and the emperor is born in discipline, and morality is king. For the wind surname. " Emperor Liang Yuan's Jin Lou Zi describes in detail: "Tai Hao is Dong Shi and his mother is Hua Xu. In Suiren's world, there were great men from other countries. Hua Xushi followed him and was replaced by Xi's, who succeeded him as king. The first virtue is in wood, which is the first of a hundred kings. " The Spring and Autumn Annals also added a new content: "Hua Xu gave birth to Fuxi as a man and Nuwa as a woman." Sima Zhen's Biography in the Tang Dynasty also recorded the same thing: "Tai Hao's surname is Xi, and his surname is King of the World. My mother, Hua Xu, is a big shot. I was born in, snakehead, Dade. " And so on. These ancient books tell such a bizarre story: In the land of Razer, a young girl, Hua Xushi, got pregnant by stepping on the footprints of a giant, and gave birth to her son Fuxi in Ji Cheng. Later, she gave birth to her daughter Nuwa. Fuxi (also known as Youxi, Fuxi, Youxi, Weixi, Mixi, Taihao, etc.), following the ancestor of Sui Renshi, is the king, surnamed Feng, and belongs to Mude, also known as Tai Hao. Therefore, the Chronicle of Xuanyuan says, "The Yellow Emperor's visit to Huaxu is also a fairy country." The Compendium says: "Fuxi's mother lives in Zhu, Hua Xu", while Notes on the Qing Tomb seems to confirm this ancient myth: "Taihao Fuxi's surname is Feng, and her mother lives in Zhu, Hua Xu." The geography book Taiping Wan Guo even said: "Lantian has Hua Xushi Mausoleum". All these are too numerous to mention, piling up like a mountain and voluminous, trying to prove a confusing historical fact: Liezi Huangdi's description of "the country of Hua Xu" is not groundless. Even the place of Hua Xushi Mausoleum is indisputable. Which, as a supplement to orthodox historiography, is recorded in local chronicles?
