With regard to the color of Hetian jade, compared with nephrite in other areas at home and abroad, it has more tones, a series of its own, and the characteristics of uniformity, softness and purity different from jadeite. In terms of color, it is usually divided into six categories: white, cyan, ink, blue, yellow and sugar, as well as some transitional colors such as bluish white, bluish gray and blue white.
No matter which color, there is no difference in appearance and interior, and it is even and pure. Because Hetian jade itself is translucent to opaque, it shows dignified and moist nature from the inside out.
In Hetian jade market, experts always set the price by color. White jade, also known as white jade, is divided into four grades, namely extra white (suet white jade), initial white (fine white jade), second white and third white. Usually, under the same meat structure, the whiter the market value, the more expensive it is. For example, sheep fat white is rare. Other colors are divided into three grades, namely, primary, secondary and tertiary.
In addition, Hetian jade has a variety of skin colors. Although many jadeites in the world have skin colors, they are not as beautiful as Hetian jade, especially Hetian jade has many skin colors, such as autumn pear, reed flower, bordeaux, black and so on.
Since ancient times, jade sculptors have been good at using skin color to make beautiful jade articles, making full use of the essence of skin color and their own unique flesh color, which complement each other and are naturally interesting and can be called excellent.
