Why is Gangrinpoche a holy mountain?

There are two main reasons:

First, the mountain shape of Gangrinboqi is very distinctive, which adds a bit of mystery to this holy mountain.

The top of Feng Qi Mountain in Gangrenbo is covered with ice and snow all year round. It is shaped like a great pyramid, and its walls are very neat and symmetrical, like a lotus with eight petals. In addition, Gon Rinpoche is often shrouded in clouds, and it is impossible to see the whole picture, but it will emit strange and colorful light under the sunlight, which is particularly eye-catching. Such a special mountain shape, such a strange environment, and the surrounding peaks are very different, it is difficult for people not to have religious piety and curiosity about it.

Second, Gangrinpoche area is the source of many large water systems in the South Asian subcontinent.

The northwest of the mountain peak is the birthplace of Shiquan River in the upper reaches of the Indus River, and Xiangquan River in the southwest is the upper reaches of Sutleji River, a tributary of the Indus River. The Peacock River in the south is a source of the Ganges River, and the Maquan River in the east is the upper reaches of the Yarlung Zangbo River. After the Yarlung Zangbo River flows into India, it is called Brahmaputra River, which is the largest tributary of the Ganges River. Indus and Ganges are two cradles of ancient Indian civilization. So it is not surprising that Indians regard Gangrinpoche as a sacred mountain and the center of the world.

Kangrinboqe is a holy mountain recognized in the world and known as the king of mountain gods;

At the same time, it is recognized as the center of the world by Hinduism, Tibetan Buddhism, Tibetan native Yongzhong Bonism and ancient Jainism. Gangrinpoche is not the highest mountain in this area, but only its snow-covered peaks can shine strangely in the sun and attract people's attention. Coupled with the special mountain shape, it is very different from the surrounding peaks, which makes people have to be full of religious piety and wonder.
