The default numbering format of level 4 is1.1.1.1. Only 13 numbering style is available in word. But if you are good at modifying, you can "customize" countless styles.
The method is:
1. Open the Bullets and Numbering dialog box, select a numbering style, and then click the Customize button to open the Customize Numbering List dialog box.
2. In the user-defined multilevel numbering list interface, click Level 4 to customize the level 4 numbering by setting the numbering format and numbering style. There are many styles to choose from in the number style drop-down text box.
After selecting a style in the drop-down list box of numbering style, you can enter other characters before and after numbering in the text box under numbering format to form numbering in various formats. For example, the number list in brackets becomes (1), (2), (3); Add "-"to become -a, -b,-c; Add "chapter" as chapter 1, chapter 2 and chapter 3.
