Baishidong is located in Baishi Mountain in the north of Dongguan Town, Hanshan County, 35 kilometers away from Hanshan County. Legend has it that this cave is where Pengzu practiced Taoism and became an immortal. It has been called the Twenty-one Cave Heaven out of the thirty-six Cave Heavens by Taoists since ancient times. It is also called Qiongxiu Changzhen Cave, also known as Baishi Cave Heaven. According to the "New Book of Tang Geography", Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty, who believed in Taoism, heard that local people often went to Baishi Cave where Peng Zu practiced Taoism to pray for wind and rain. They always responded to their requests, so in the sixth year of Tianbao (747), he ordered Baishi Mountain to be "Prayer for Wind and Rain". Yingshan".
The total length of Baishi Cave is about 4,000 meters, with deep winding paths and a spacious hall that can accommodate more than a hundred people. Not far from the hall, there is a stone tower more than 3 meters high, with two stone pillars on it, as white as jade, and two lifelike stone dragons on the stone wall. A "chessboard" flew out of the stone wall on the upper right side of the building entrance, and several "chess pieces" were scattered on it. Legend has it that it was the "endgame" left by Peng Zu and Lao Tzu in the game. There is a river at the end of the cave. The ancients recorded: "The sound of the water is like a river, which cannot be crossed."
Baishi Cave has also been a place where scholars of all ages lived and visited. Qixia of the Tang Dynasty and Bai Yuchan of the Northern Song Dynasty once visited the cave. He lived in seclusion here successively, and there are stone carvings written by tourists on many stone walls in the cave. There is a poem praising this cave:
The cave is filled with strange and interesting things.
The magical craftsmanship and ghostly axes are all made by nature.
Deep and dangerous, there is no one left,
The white stone is like its own crystal for thousands of years.
Dayutan Wetland is located 8 kilometers southeast of Taochang Town, Hanshan County, covering an area of ??approximately 0.63 square kilometers. This was originally a large, low-lying river bay. Later, due to soil siltation, a typical tidal flat wetland was formed about 350 years ago.
There are many varieties of aquatic plants in Dayutan Wetland. In addition to many unknown aquatic plants, the well-known ones include lotus root, water chestnut, water chestnut, reed, calamus, etc. Every summer, "lotus flowers and water chestnuts cover the whole lake" here, creating a vibrant scene. Many plants growing in wetlands provide local people with a large amount of food and knitting materials, and also provide ideal habitats and abundant food resources for many wetland animals.
The animals in Dayutan Wetland include fish, amphibians, reptiles, birds, etc. The fish here are pure natural wild fish and are not polluted, so they are delicious and expensive. Today, "Big Fishing Beach Wild Fish" has become a well-known brand fish in the county. A large number of birds gather and breed in the wetland every year. In winter, wild ducks swim and eat in the water, and a small number of gray cranes, swan geese and even black cranes come here for "sightseeing". In summer, egrets all over the lake beach are the most spectacular sight in the wetland. As the sun sets, shepherd boys play on the shore, buffaloes graze on the tidal flats, and late-night egrets comb their white feathers comfortably on the backs of cattle. This is the most common natural folk painting in the wetland. (Selected from "Chaohu Cultural Landscape")
