Why do some people question the efficacy of traditional Chinese medicine now? Personally, I think there are several reasons:

The theory of traditional Chinese medicine is a unique experience summed up in constant practice, which can stand the test of thousands of years, but it cannot exist without its truth;
2, the medicinal materials are good and the medicine is good. At present, many Chinese patent medicines have no obvious curative effect, mainly for two reasons: First, the quality of the medicinal materials themselves is too poor, mainly because the production cycle is short and the content of effective components is low. Many Chinese herbal medicines are perennial plants, which are dug up and used before reaching a certain growth period, and the natural effect is not obvious. In the past, there were many wild medicinal materials, which were selected for a long time. Now the dosage is increasing, not to mention the small ones. Many wild medicinal materials are hard to find. The medicinal materials produced by artificial planting and indiscriminate use of pesticides and fertilizers, just like fast-growing chickens, will not be of good quality. This brings the second consequence, that is, many artificially planted medicinal materials have serious pesticide residues, heavy metals exceed the standard, and some use phytohormones to accelerate their growth.
Therefore, Chinese medicine is definitely effective, but the disorderly and random development leads to the decline of the quality of medicinal materials, which is the most critical place of Chinese medicine. It can also be said that Chinese medicine is the bottleneck of the development of Chinese medicine, and the development of Chinese medicine is worrying if the raw materials are not solved. Although the country has introduced the standardized management of Chinese herbal medicine planting (GAP), it is basically useless. The cost of medicinal materials planted by GAP is high, and pharmaceutical companies only consider the cost. Who would want to use it? At present, many pharmaceutical companies in China have established dozens of so-called GAP planting bases, just to cope with the inspection. What should I do afterwards and how to save money? Personally, I think pharmaceutical companies should merge and reorganize, eliminate many backward small pharmaceutical companies, standardize powerful large pharmaceutical companies, and gradually solve the current chaotic situation. At present, the country is also doing this, from essential drugs to the new version of GMP (standardized production), which is also the general trend, that is, the intensity is not great and the progress is too slow. In fact, every reform will harm the old interests of many people, which is understandable.
