When was Baidicheng first written?

(1) It is believed that it was written in the 13th year of Kaiyuan, when Li Bai went to China with a sword and left his relatives for a long journey, "when he left Baidicheng for Jiangling on his way out of Shu".

(2) It is believed that written in the 15th or 16th year of Kaiyuan, Li Bai married Xu's granddaughter in Anlu, Hubei Province, and began to roam Anlu for the first time. For example, Yang Shen's "Poems on the Temple of Saint-An" said: "Taibai married Xu Shi in Jiangling, and took Jiangling as a return to build a family house." . Tang Huaiyuan in "Early Baidu City > Questioning the Time of Writing" further speculated that it was probably made by Li Bai when he was 26 or 7 years old and wandering outside, returning from Baidicheng to Xuzhai in Jiangling.

(3) It is believed that written in Gan Yuan in the second year, Li Bai retired from the middle of Yelang and returned to Jiangling from Baidicheng. Many experts and scholars hold this view. For example, "Notes on Selected Poems of Li Bai" edited by Shanghai Ancient Books Publishing House: "This famous seven wonders was made by Li Bai when he was pardoned in Baidicheng and returned to Jiangling." Ge Jie's three hundred quatrains; "In the spring of 759 AD, Li Bai was pardoned when he arrived in Baidicheng on his way to exile and returned to Jiangling by boat."
