There is also the only remaining pagoda of Kaiyuan Temple in Sui and Tang Dynasties nearby. Shuiyue Cave is close to the river, and water flows through it, such as floating the moon in the water, and falling rocks like trunk drinking Lijiang River. The scenery is excellent, and it has been a tourist attraction since the Tang and Song Dynasties. Song Jibei Chu Shi's poem "Shui Yue Dong Yun" says: "There is a bright moon underwater, and the bright moon floats on the water. The water in the month does not go, but the water in the month still flows. " It vividly depicts the scene.
Shuiyue Cave is between the trunk and legs of Elephant Trunk Mountain. About 6.5438+0.2 million years ago, the earth's crust rose and the Lijiang River contracted, which accelerated the development of Shuiyue Cave and formed a circular cave with transparent east and west. Length 17m, width 9.5m, height 12m, covering an area of about 150m 2. "Xiangshan Ji" says, "There are caves, which can be opposite, round and long. Half of them are in the water, and the water is high and low, so the caves also have sizes."
The entrance of Shuiyue Cave faces the sun, also known as Chaoyang Cave. But the cave on the water, such as the bright moon floating, is very vivid, so the name of Shuiyue is still in use today. "Xiangshan Shuiyue" is one of the wonders of Guilin's landscape, and the bachelor of arts is a prose sentence, which is amazing. There is a saying in Song Ji's poem "Hidden Moon Cave in North Chu Shi": "There is a bright moon underwater, and the bright moon floats on the water. The phrase "water doesn't go to the moon, and when the moon goes, the water flows back" describes in detail the miracle that the moon reflects each other in the sky, in the cave and under the water. The water moon in Xiangshan is opposite to the moon rock across the mountain in the south, one hanging in the sky and the other floating in the water, forming a strange landscape of "two moons in Lijiang River".
Chaoyang Pavilion was built in the Song Dynasty and in a cave. It was renamed Deyue Building in the Qing Dynasty and has been abandoned. There are more than 50 cliff carvings in the cave, such as Zhang Xiaoxiang's Poem of Chaoyangge, Fan Chengda's inscription of the Moon in the Water, and Lu You's manuscripts.
Chaoyang Pavilion, built in the Moon Cave of Nasal Landscape, has been abandoned for a long time. However, more than 800 years ago, a back-to-back pen and ink lawsuit between two former local governors in Guangxi has always been an eternal topic for tourists here. It turns out that in the second year of the Southern Song Dynasty (A.D. 1 166), Zhang Xiaoxiang Youshui Moon Cave lingered late and revisited it soon. As soon as the entrance of the cave is east, the name of the pavilion, the name of the cave and the name of the rock are all named after "Chaoyang", and the Preface to Poems of Chaoyang Pavilion, which describes it, should be located in the north wall of Shuiyue Cave. Later, Fan Chengda and Lord Gui found another way and restored their original names. They wrote an inscription on the Moon Cave after Shui Yue and carved it on the south wall of the cave.
Elephant trunk rock is adjacent to Shuiyue Cave, so it is named after the elephant trunk in Elephant Trunk Mountain. The rock is 1.9 meters high, 3.3 meters wide and about 13.5 meters long, with an area of 44.5 square meters. The rock mouth faces the river, facing east, and is in a strip-shaped closed state. It is a shady place with a good river view. Mao Binquan, a scholar in the Ming Dynasty, once read the Book of Changes here, and later generations carved the word "Reading Rock" in the rock mouth, calling it "Dianyishan Window". In Wanli (1577), Ding Chou was renovated in the first month of spring, and there was a stone inscription "Binquan Mountain people dug this hole deep". Zhang Xiang, a poet in the Ming Dynasty, wrote a poem "Mao Binquan's Point Leaning against the Mountain Window", in which there are sentences such as "A thousand hectares of water and light houses" and "Watching the Zhouyi from the Mountain Window". See Shuiyue Cave Cliff Stone Carving for details.
Elephant Eye Rock is located on the north and south sides of Elephant Trunk Mountain, which are connected with each other. It is about 2 meters high, 5 ~ 10 meters wide and 52.8 meters long. It is oblong and covers an area of about 274 square meters. Elephant Eye Rock was originally a short and ancient underground river, which was formed earlier than Shuiyue Cave, so it was named because it happened to be at the elephant eye. From the south pole entrance at the southern foot of Xiangshan Mountain, you can climb up the south eye along the stone steps. Out of the elephant eye stone, Panshan Road can reach the top of the mountain. There is a cliff in the north eye, and there is no access. Elephant Eye Rock is a pair of wonderful windows overlooking the scenery. From the left eye, the towering Lijiang Hotel is close at hand, the buildings and markets in the urban area are row upon row, and the mountain bars in half the city are vivid; Looking from the right eye, Jiang Bo sails, flickering between Zizhou, Tashan and Chuanshan.
Jas Pouch Lee Garden Architecture in Song Dynasty. Zhang Mingming Feng's "Ghost Valley" contains: "Therefore, in the Song Dynasty, Fang believed that building an exquisite house under the south wall was called a cloud. Xuan has been abandoned for a long time. " According to Fang Xinru's Title Rhyme and Shao Yiren's account, an ancient rhyme was built before Fang's title poem. The actual construction time of Yunyan Xuan Ya cannot be verified. Fang Xinru said in his poem, "You don't have to spend money to explore quinoa, and the forest is deep." Zeng Zun's "Thousand Rocks and Moon Cave" is even more marked with the sentence "There is a strange section on the cloud cliff", saying that it is credible that the cloud cliff porch was built at the foot of Xiangshan Mountain.
