Geologists have determined by radioisotopes that Huashan granite was formed about 1, 2 1 10,000 years ago, and the crust in Huashan area moved. In the process of being squeezed, folded and broken, magma began to rise, invaded the surface crust along cracks, cooled at a depth of 3-6 kilometers and condensed into rocks.
Huashan granite has many obvious joints and faults, which are 20 degrees north-south strike. Others are north-south, northwest 30 degrees, northeast 10 degrees, and northeast 50 degrees. In addition, there are nearly horizontal faults and joints that divide the intact granite into large and small blocks. In the cutting activities of vertical and horizontal rivers, weathering and denudation have formed beautiful peaks and many strange stones.

Legends about Huashan Mountain:
It is said that Hua Tuo has a good friend named Ms. Lu, who lives in seclusion on Huashan Bailuyuan. Hua tuo often travels in the mountains. When Hua Tuo came to Huashan, every day, in addition to stepping on the mountain to collect herbs, he practiced "Five Birds Play" with Lu girls. In addition, Hua Tuo often wears Miss Lu's robe, a square towel, a medicine gourd on his back, and goes down the mountain to see a doctor. Hua tuo also wrote a couplet in front of his house: natural floating clouds, wild cranes, lyre flowing freely.
One day, Cao Cao, the prime minister of Wei, called Hua Tuo to see a doctor. After Hua Tuo left, Miss Lu was always uneasy. One night, Miss Lu dreamed that Hua Tuo was covered in blood and told her grievances. After the girl Lu woke up, she immediately ran to the foot of the mountain to inquire about Hua Tuo. A few days later, knowing that Hua Tuo was killed by Cao Cao, he lamented his chest and cried. After crying, he returned to the foot of the mountain and buried a cenotaph in the southwest of Hongya village.
On the day of burial, everyone at the foot of the mountain came to attend the funeral. Everyone mourned and cried. After the burial, everyone raised funds to build a tomb, and also dug a "love hole" next to the white deer niche at the foot of the mountain as a memorial to the imperial doctor Hua Tuo.
