Pure heart is the foundation, and the right path is the plan.
Show dry eventually becomes a building, fine steel don't make a hook.
The warehouse is full of mice and birds, and the grass is full of rabbits and foxes.
There is a lesson in history, don't be ashamed of those who have come.
Translation:
Purifying the mind is to improve one's moral cultivation; Honesty and integrity is the official purpose I set for myself. Honest and capable people, like tall and straight trunks, will eventually become the pillars of society; Like the essence of steel, it will not be used to make hooks. Those corrupt officials are like mice and birds. When they saw that the granary was full, they were full of joy. Just like a fox and a rabbit, when they see that weeds have been eliminated and there is nowhere to hide, they are distressed. We should learn from the teachings left by sages in ancient books, but don't invite ridicule from the younger generation.
Bao Zheng, the author, is upright, fair and resolute, independent of the powerful, fair and wise, and dares to redress grievances for the people. Therefore, he is known as "Bao Qingtian" and "Bao Gong", and the capital has the saying that "Yamaraja will protect its old age if it fails to achieve unity". Later generations regarded him as a god, regarded him as the reincarnation of Kuixing, and was also called "Bao Qingtian" because of his black face image.
