There are three kinds.
First, People's Literature Publishing House, 100 copies of Water Margin by Shi Naian and Luo Guanzhong. The base edition used in this edition is an engraving of Rongyutang in Hangzhou at the end of the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty (about 1 6 1 0) printed by Beijing Library. The original book 100 Volume 100 Chapter is entitled "Mr. Li Zhuowu's Criticism of Loyalty and Righteousness". When it was published, the author's name was added, and four notes attached to the front, brow, lines, illustrations, notes and annotations in the volume were deleted, which corrected the obvious misreading. Except for a few ambiguous and easily misunderstood words, the rest are typeset in simplified Chinese characters, punctuated and segmented. Among these 100 manuscripts, the earliest one is the engraving of Guo Xun, Ding Hou of Ming Jiajing, and there are only a few now. Earlier, there was the Preface to Foreign Ministers in Heaven published in the Wanli Period of the Ming Dynasty, followed by Rongyutang.
Two, Shi Naian and Luo Guanzhong published by Shanghai People's Publishing House 120 page "Water Margin". This book is based on 120 volumes of Ding Yang Preface in Wanli Period of Ming Dynasty, and was printed after proofreading. On the basis of Tian Du Ben, The Preface to Ding Yang added the stories of tian hu and Wang Qing, and published 120 copies. The above two versions, though different in complexity and simplicity, both show the whole process from gathering to dispersing in Liangshan, Shui Bo.
Three, People's Literature Publishing House, Shi Naian's "Water Margin" seventy-first. This book is based on Seventy Books edited by Jin Shengtan. At the end of the Ming Dynasty, Jin Shengtan deleted 100 copies of 20 Yu Ben, deleted the plot of being wooed and receiving Fang La, and added "Scared Nightmare" as the ending, making it 70 copies. When it was published this time, the "nightmare" was deleted and the original appearance was restored according to 120. The "wedge" of the gold edition was slightly cut and changed to the first time. In fact, this book was returned 7 1 time. For the water margin after Jin Shengtan's "waist cutting", it can be said that different people have different opinions. Lu Xun believes that Jin Ben has lost his "original honesty" and is like a "dragonfly with a broken tail".
The Cultural Revolution passed in a flash, but these three versions of Water Margin have become the witness of history, because Mao Zedong's two quotations about Water Margin, "Water Margin only opposes corrupt officials, not emperors", are not only printed in bold type, but also excerpted Lu Xun's comments on Water Margin, meaning "Water Margin". Plus a "preface" with distinctive characteristics of the times. The publication of this book has been branded with a strong special mark, and it will surely become one of the rare books of the Cultural Revolution for future bibliophiles.
