As one of China's neighbors, Viet Nam has many world-famous cities and become the first choice for China people to travel abroad. But what you don't know is that Vietnam was once our territory in ancient times. According to the History of Qin Dynasty, there were frequent wars at the end of Qin Dynasty. Zhao Tuo, then the satrap of Longchuan County, launched a mutiny, occupied Guilin County and Xiang County, established himself as Wang Jian, and established Nanyue State. This history is also regarded by the Vietnamese as their own national history.
The Book of the Later Han Dynasty records that by the time the civil war in the Western Han Dynasty was constantly pacified, China had reached a stage of prosperity and development. It's just that the court cares about South Vietnam and sends envoys to surrender. After weighing the pros and cons, Zhao Tuo decided to surrender to the rule of the Han Dynasty, went to the Emperor and paid tribute all the year round. This is also the northern dynasty in Vietnamese history.
In fact, even with the development of history, we can still see many shadows of Chinese civilization in Vietnam, but many people think that it is their culture, and they are quite disdainful of China people. The Vietnamese exposed a "historical map" and lamented that if Guangdong and Guangxi had not fallen, the country would be very strong, but this is undoubtedly an idiotic dream.
Cognition of history varies from region to region, just as Vietnam has its own "historical map". After all, there was no artificial intelligence and no computer at that time, and many histories could not be completely preserved, so people had different interpretations of history, but obviously there was only one historical fact. In fact, China has experienced many over-interpretations of this cultural division. For example, South Korea has been trying to occupy some traditional cultures and generalize some customs to itself, but this is also unrealistic, so it has not succeeded.
Korea imaginary map
Compared with South Korea, Vietnam has a bigger appetite. They want to do something from the "site" In their concept, the region is bounded by the Yangtze River, that is, the south of the Yangtze River is their historical territory. In ancient China, Yue was called Guo, and it was a vassal state of China from the Western Han Dynasty to the late Qing Dynasty. This situation has also been recognized by most Vietnamese historians and known to its domestic residents. They have a strong interest in Guangzhou, and they are also very proud of the development of Guangzhou, which is also caused by their concept of "dividing the territory by rivers". In their cognition, Guangdong and Guangzhou were actually their territories in ancient times.
Imaginary map of Vietnam
The reason why they can have such cognition is also because their concepts of territory and domain have been very vague since ancient times. In Vietnam, many scholars tamper with history at will and even fabricate some historical facts on the grounds of exploring the complete map, which makes people feel funny. Before the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms, Vietnam was actually a small county under the jurisdiction of China. In the middle and late Five Dynasties and Ten Countries, it gradually developed into a small country. During the Tang Dynasty, the domestic political situation was stable, which was restored by China and became the sweet potato of China. This situation remained until the late Qing Dynasty.
These things are well recorded in the history of our country, and it is an indisputable fact that Nanyue paid tribute to the court every year, so it is a bit sad to deny the history of its own country. Moreover, in their cognition, there are many versions of ancient history. In China, some people regard Zhao Tuo as their ancient monarch, while others regard him as an invader. He is also an important figure in the eyes of many scholars, especially for the territory of Vietnam.
There are also some legends circulating in China. Many people regard Zhao Tuo as the monarch of South Vietnam, while others think that Zhao did establish a small country in the Qin Dynasty to fight against it. The capital of this country is Panyu, Guangzhou, and its territory includes the northern part of Vietnam, so Vietnamese scholars are more sure that this area was once their national territory, and they also regard Baiyue people as ancient Vietnamese. In ancient times, the whole territory of South Vietnam was also their historical territory. In that case, Guangzhou and Guangdong are really theirs.
Another version, Zhao Tuo's identity is an intruder, and this view also appears in a Vietnamese fairy tale. In the story, their real monarch in ancient times was Luo, who established Nanyue State before Zhao Tuo and Wenlang State in Zhao Tuo. It is also based on this fairy tale that Vietnamese talents have a territorial map of "dividing the river", which also makes them feel that if Guangzhou and Guangdong are theirs, their development will be different, they will be much more prosperous than now, and their country will become a world-class country.
