I don’t know whether it was because of these three reasons that I was scared, or because the event was attractive, but this event was packed with people. When I came back and waited at the airport, I talked about my feelings with Chen Qi. She suggested that I write it down, so I agreed. However, in the company, I am used to only talking and not doing anything. It still takes time to write. Based on this point, I should pay attention to the reports of subordinates in the future.
Most of the students from all over the country arrived before dinner on the first day on August 10. Looking at the itinerary for that night, it was quite tempting? Hohhot’s passionate nightlife. I had been looking forward to it, but when I heard during dinner that I was going to karaoke, I was disappointed. But when I arrived at the Real Madrid Club, entered the huge private room, and sang and drank together, I immediately felt that this was the best way to let more than 40 people spend the night together. I don't know about other private rooms. In our private room, everyone unanimously recognized that the female "Mai Ba" Tan Wenping and the male "Mai Ba" Tang Jian were the ones that night. Singing and dancing kicked off the trip to Inner Mongolia.
Mengniu VS Yili, who is the hero?
Hohhot can be called the dairy capital of China because there are two major dairy giants in China - Mengniu and Yili. During our trip to Inner Mongolia, we visited these two companies, which are both very successful but have very different styles, and also talked with their The leading figures Niu Gensheng and Pan Gang had close contact.
We first visited the Mengniu factory and ranch in Horinger County. Ms. Mengniu took a microphone and introduced us to the tour in stylized language, a bit like a professional tour guide. After listening to the lady's introduction that they were "cow-based" and introduced the best grass in the world for the cows to eat, as well as listening to music, getting massages, and sleeping with Simmons, Zhao Min said with emotion: "I also want to be a cow and a horse in my next life." Looking at the neatly lined up cows walking towards the fully automatic circular milking table in an orderly and elegant manner, someone suddenly asked: "What if it doesn't want to be milked?" The lady said: "There is electricity at the door, no. You will be stimulated by the electric current when you walk." Alas, it seems that even the best days have bad days. Looking at the slogan above "Be kind to every cow, because they are all mothers", you can't help but think of this famous saying? The trick is always the best. It serves a purpose. Mengniu's internal management is quite special. The most outstanding thing is that there are many slogans. Everyone has a mirror posted on the back of their desk. The slogan on the mirror is "Your expression represents your work attitude." Along the corridor of the office, there are various slogans, such as "Small victory depends on wisdom, big victory relies on virtue", "In order to radiate your own light, there is no need to blow out other people's lights", "Shareholders seek return on investment, employee participation is income, parents and fellow villagers "Looking forward to tax" and so on. Of course, the most eye-catching slogan posted on the workshop is "The quality of quality is the quality of personality and conduct." The CEIBS production operation management class emphasizes that managing quality requires various processes and systems, but I don't know that the emphasis is on personality and conduct. Whether we can manage the quality well.
The discussion with Niu Gensheng allowed us to truly feel Niu Sheng’s personal charm. Zeng Liqing’s first question was what are the advantages of Mengniu. Niu Sheng answered it for more than half an hour. Sheng’s 18 years of experience in the dairy industry, the investment of entrepreneurial shareholders to support their families, and Mengniu’s corporate culture, indeed make people feel that Mengniu has many advantages. When it comes to Lao Niu Fund, Niu Sheng’s statement is worth pondering. “When wealth gathers people, wealth disperses and people gather together” is full of philosophy. The CEO of Mengniu distributes millions of money every year just to gather people. Niu Sheng said that if he dies after his death, If he only leaves a large amount of money, no one will remember him. If he leaves some spirit, others will not forget him. Lao Niu Fund’s voting rights in the company are retained by Niu Sheng. This can be seen from Niu Sheng’s strong personality and the company’s militarized management. Niu Sheng loves power more than wealth. This also verifies Nietzsche’s point of view: “The love of power is the only talent. He is the devil of mankind." However, having the courage to spend one's wealth is admirable. As Zhang Yaohui said, "Niu Gensheng's actions set an example for China's private enterprises." Later, I visited Mengniu’s mid-to-high-rise "Yuanyuan" living community. The beautiful villas and beautiful gardens in the community are quite like the "Utopia" in my mind: everyone knows each other well, has the same interests and hobbies, and interacts with each other. Care and help. But I don’t know if Mengniu people feel this way in real life, but according to Song Yaoming: “It feels a bit rustic and lacks privacy to put all their names on the windows of their homes.” However, if employees want to leave Mengniu, they have to move out of their villas. This decision is not easy to make. This may be a clever trick for Mengniu to retain employees.
Visiting Yili Company, President Pan Gang, after all, is a CEIBS alumnus, received him personally. He was also personally accompanied by current classmates Zhang Penghui, deputy secretary of the Hohhot Municipal Party Committee, and Wang Hengjun, secretary of the Horinger County Party Committee. From product introduction to visiting the liquid milk filling production line, Yili has a similar feeling to Mengniu. However, Yili is very different from Mengniu in terms of corporate culture. There are not many slogans on the walls of Yili. President Pan Gang's discussion was not as infectious as Niu Gensheng's. His conversation was tepid and polite. At first glance, he looked like a professional trained by CEIBS EMBA, emphasizing performance results and process systems. Pan Gang also introduced that Yili organized a China-Europe training course within the company this year and spent millions. It seems that he has gained something from what he learned.
After visiting Yili and Mengniu, it’s up to everyone to compare who is better and who is worse. I personally agree with Mr. Han’s point of view: “Mengniu is a bit of a personality cult. What would happen if Mengniu left Niu Gensheng? In comparison, Yili More generous." This may be what the book "Built to Last" says. The personal charisma of a truly long-lasting corporate leader is not important. A good corporate culture and a complete system are the foundation of the company, which can prevent changes in leaders from affecting the company. Businesses have an impact. At the same time, I personally do not appreciate the mandatory leadership style of enterprises, where everything is uniformly stipulated. This is something Drucker emphasized in his book "The Practice of Management" 50 years ago about the dangers of one person being the boss, and self-management and diversification must be encouraged.
Let me spread some wildness on the grassland
In the itinerary, we arranged a one-day and one-night trip to Xilamuren Grassland, where we stayed in a yurt. As soon as we got off the bus, more than 20 Mongolian women lined the path to offer khatas and welcome wine. We immediately felt the warm hospitality of the Mongolian people. The grassland is not the sight of cattle and sheep appearing in the wind-swept grassland as I imagined. The sparse grass is like the name of Xilamuren Grassland. Horse riding is still a bit new to many people. I had an experience of horseback riding when I was riding in the wild in college, which left me traumatized. I didn’t think much about riding, but later I couldn’t stand the temptation of professional player Guo Xin and I still rode him. The horse, but I don’t know if it’s because of laziness or because of the change of people. The horse just won’t go. It pinches the horse’s belly and slaps the horse’s butt. The horse won’t go away. In the end, it won’t be able to fight it. So it’s better to get down and get over it, but don’t scare it anymore. However, Old Tang's experience was quite dangerous. He walked behind the horse and patted the horse's butt. The horse suddenly took a step forward, raised its hind legs and kicked straight into Old Tang's chest. The dinner hosted by the owner of the grassland that night can be described as "tragic". Grilled steaks, legs, mutton sausages, and haggis soup were served one after another. The mutton grown on the grass on the grassland was so tender. I saw everyone gnawing away with their big molars, but it didn't last long. When the toasting singing group arrived, everything was in chaos. First, they toasted the class teacher Chen Qi. It was over now. The Mongolian girl came over and offered her a big bowl of wine. Poor me, I was born unable to drink. It was useless to explain it. I had to accept it. What happened later that night was all related to drinking too much. Those who had the guts and the ability to drink were all knocked down. The most painful one was Xu Jiazhu. At two o'clock in the morning, he was still vomiting. Not only that, according to Mongolian friends, it is "drinking well". Those of us who "survived" enjoyed the prairie songs, dances and fireworks specially prepared for us, and even sang and danced wildly in front of the bonfire with the help of alcohol. At ten o'clock in the night, several boys headed by Yadong began to call the female classmates' names one by one at the door of the girls' yurt, followed by the Shaanxi-style "I love you", just like a group of wild wolves who were unhappy at a certain period. Wail, nicknamed "Chun Tuan" by everyone, made everyone laugh wildly. Think about it, these "Chun Tuan" people are usually respectable executives. There are also a few classmates who are interested in talking around the fire (bonfire) until early in the morning. It is unknown what the topic is, because the situation will not be repeated, and the topic will of course end at that moment. Sleeping in a yurt at night is still a bit strange: you can't take a shower, you have to cover yourself with a thick quilt, bugs crawl around you from time to time, and it still feels a bit wild to get up in the middle of the night and stand on the vast prairie to urinate.
The "Killing Association" was established
After leaving Xilamuren Grassland, there were no surprises in visiting the Swan Lake and meeting in Aobao. Anyway, after arriving in Aobao, I walked around three times to make wishes, and my wife and husband were all happy. At home, I don’t know who else I want to date. Returning to Horinger County, I was warmly welcomed by CEIBS classmates and Lingeer County Secretary Wang Hengjun. A dinner with Mongolian characteristics was enjoyed by both guests and host. In the evening, Guo Xin and Du Duo convened to play a killing game, gathering 15 or 6 classmates. The classmates who participated must have experienced another thrilling murder experience that night. I don’t know whether I was lucky or bad, but after playing seven games in one night, I became a murderer in six games. Lin Shaowen and Zhuang Qun are recognized masters. This is Lin Shaobin's first time playing, so everyone helped him eliminate his illiteracy. After playing for one night, we decided to go back to Shenzhen and set up a killing association. Impressions
I have a few thoughts after this trip to Mongolia. Thought 1: Two people are very important in a good class. One is the class teacher and the other is the monitor. The class teacher sets the tone. , can affect the entire class atmosphere, either positive and united, or negative and loose. The squad leader sets the path and enthusiastically calls for selfless dedication. It is very important to make the whole class cohesive.
