The emblem P of POLY Company takes the meanings of English "PLA" (abbreviation of China People's Liberation Army), "Poly" and "POWER", and the deformed English letter P was designed by Lai Weiwu and Wang Xiaochao in 1987, symbolizing fist and representing confidence and strength. The space in the center of P means to grasp the present and look to the future. On the occasion of the 1th anniversary celebration of Poly Company in 1993, General Manager He Ping invited calligrapher Qi Gong to write "China Poly Group Company", which has simplified and traditional versions. In November 1994, Poly Company officially registered two trademarks, "P" and "Poly", and obtained the trademark certificate issued by the State Administration for Industry and Commerce.
