From Zhao Mengfu's Stone Showing and Forest (Title)
The whole poem is:
Stone white as a fly, wood white as a brush. There are also eight ways to write bamboo.
If anyone can learn this, you should know that painting and calligraphy are the same.
The brushwork of stone painting is like calligraphy, and the brushwork of tree painting is like regular script of calligraphy. Painting freehand bamboo, especially bamboo leaves, needs to be familiar with the "eight methods". If anyone wants to know this, he must know that calligraphy and painting were originally integrated in ancient times, and the brushwork used so far is basically the same.
About "Exhibition of Love in Stone" and "Exhibition of Love in Stone" is a painting created by Zhao Mengfu, a painter in the Yuan Dynasty.
Appreciate Zhao Mengfu's flying white brushwork, such as stone, vigorous brushwork, such as bamboo, vigorous and simple brushwork, and the beautiful and elegant spirit of Chinese people. There is the word "Zi Ang" in the box, and there is a poem by Zhao Mengfu after the volume: "Stone is as white as flying, and bamboo writing is also familiar with eight methods. Anyone who can understand this will know that calligraphy and painting are the same. " It shows that Zhao emphasizes the homology of calligraphy and painting and replaces "writing" with "writing".
