In 2002, he won the bronze prize in the calligraphy contest for the 30th anniversary of Sino-Japanese friendship, and his works were collected by the Chinese History Museum. He won many awards in the fourth "Prince Cup" and "Zu" calligraphy competitions, and won the silver prize in the Sino-Vietnamese calligraphy competition. The TV Calligraphy Competition of Xinghua Village Wine jointly organized by China Calligraphers Association and CCTV won the prize, and the Calligraphy Competition of the Rise of the West organized by China Calligraphy Association won the prize.

In 2004, calligraphy was well received by leaders at all levels at the first China Couplet Art Festival (Nanchang), and was also accepted as a member of China Couplet Association and a member of the Calligraphy Art Committee of China Couplet Society.
