Guan xiu has become a common custom.

Guan Xiu was born in Lanxi, Wuzhou (now Lanxi, Zhejiang Province). Before the end of the Tang Dynasty and the Five Dynasties, Shu painted monks and poets. Throughout his life, he had a clear love and hate, cared about people's sufferings and hated corrupt officials.

He once wrote a poem for King Qian Liu of wuyue: "Send money to my father". Qian Liu was overjoyed after reading it, but asked him to change the poem from "fourteen states" to "forty states". Guan Xiu flatly replied: "The realm is hard to add, and poetry is hard to change. If you are a lonely wild crane, when can you stop flying? " . "Then, left.

Guan Xiu left Yuezhou and came to Jingzhou. Guan Xiu is one of 100 people who contributed poems on Chengshu's birthday. Zheng Zhun, jealous of Guan Xiu, gave the third place to Guan Xiu. Later, Cheng Ling once asked Guan Xiu about calligraphy. Guan Xiu vented his humiliation by offering poems on his birthday: "This matter needs to be taught on the altar, so it is easy to say!" Cheng Ling was angry, so Guan Xiu was fired again.

Later, when Guan Xiu went to Shu, he gave a poem to Wang Jianyi, the owner of Shu: "There are disasters everywhere in Jiangdong, Hebei, but I heard that there is no dust in Shu. A bottle and a bowl grow old, and ten thousand waters come from Qian Shan. There are many secluded scenic spots in Qinyuan, and Buddy Chen Gong is ashamed of talent. Those who are ashamed of the dragon bell in the forest will also come to Guo Chentai. " Wang Jian respected Guan Xiu very much, and Guan Xiu was finally appreciated.

Historical evaluation shows that he is not afraid of power, arrogant and willful. From his words, "it is difficult to add a state and change a poem." When can I fly? " It can also be seen. But his frequent writing of poems to the rulers is not in contradiction with his arrogance. Some people say that these poems cater to the rulers because of the Buddhism he preached. Wang Jian really attached great importance to him, helped him build temples and spread Buddhism. This understanding is reasonable.

But look back at "Gu Yuyun wild cranes, when can't they fly?" The grandiosity and flattery in the rulers' poems are still regrettable. No matter how detached you are from the world, you will inevitably join the WTO.
