How to explain Li Ka-shing's couplet that "the first class wishes to get married, and the second class enjoys happiness"?

It means: to be a man, you should have great ambitions, just seek a moderate fate, and you can't force it. The important thing is that you can keep a low profile, live an ordinary life and enjoy the blessings of ordinary people.

This is the first couplet of a pair of couplets on the left, and the second couplet is "Stand tall, sit flat, walk wide". The second couplet is to teach people to be a man, to look at problems in the long run, to be a low-key person, and to leave room for themselves and others in everything.

This is Li Ka-shing's favorite couplet, the only calligraphy couplet in his study, which can also be said to be his life guide.

Make a first-class wish, make a first-class love, and enjoy the next blessing; If you choose to stand tall, sit flat and walk wide. Twenty-four words condense the profound philosophy of life, that is, "have great hopes, moderate fortune, and enjoy the next happiness", that is, have great ambitions, just seek moderate fortune, and live an ordinary life; "Being high above others, being equal and being lenient with others" means being far-sighted, keeping a low profile and leaving room for doing things.

Look at the top, middle and bottom, look at the height, flatness and width, think about the bottom when you are at the top, and find the width when you stand high. Therefore, no matter how complicated the contradiction is, it can be changed without being surprised, and it is not chaotic in distress, which not only creates a career, but also defends it.
