Who's Cao Sheng?

In the Eastern Han Dynasty, Zhang Zhi was first called Cao Sheng, but in the history of ancient calligraphy, only Zhang Xu and Huai Su in the Tang Dynasty were recognized as representatives of Cao Sheng. The ink they have left is very rare and is regarded as a national treasure!

Zhang Xu (685? -759? ), the word Gao Bo, the word Ji Ming, was born in Wuxian County, Suzhou (now Suzhou, Jiangsu Province), a calligrapher in the Tang Dynasty, good at cursive writing and fond of drinking. He is called "Zhang Dian" by the world, "Wu Sizi" with Huai Su, "Wu Sizi" with He, Zhang and Bao Rong, and "drinking" with whom. His cursive script is similar to Li Bai's poems and songs.

Zhang Xu's handwriting is good.

In the 29th year of Kaiyuan (74 1), Zhang wrote the Preface of Langguan Stone Column in Shangshu Province. ?

In the first year of Tianbao (742), Zhang's Epitaph of Yan Fujun in Longmen County, Tangjiang Prefecture (referred to as Epitaph). The following year (743), Zhang's Epitaph of Taiyuan, Taishou of Wen 'an County in Tang Dynasty (referred to as Wang Zhihuan Epitaph).

In the fifth year of Tianbao (747), Zhang Xu retired to Luoyang. After "dismissing from office", Yan Zhenqing went to Luoyang to ask Zhang Xu for books. In addition, Zhang Xu also taught Cui Miao and Wu You painting skills. ?

On February 8th, the second year of Gan Yuan (759), Zhang wrote "Thousand-Character Works". In the same year, Zhang Xu died at the age of 75.
