What does Cao Zhang mean?

Cao Zhang is one of the traditional calligraphy styles. It is an early cursive script, which began in Han Dynasty and evolved from cursive script to official script. Cao Zhang is the predecessor of "modern grass", and the difference between Cao Zhang and "modern grass" is that the brushwork of official script is retained, and the upper and lower characters are independent.

There are several theories about the origin of the name "Cao Zhang", each with its own basis and reasons.

1. "Bookstore Jinghua" quoted Cai in the Tang Dynasty as saying: "Emperor Hanzhang flourished." It is believed that it was founded by Emperor Zhang Han.

Second, the Book End quoted Xu Wei in the Tang Dynasty as saying, "Zhang Di has a good reputation." It is said that it was named after the hobby of Emperor Zhang Han.

Three, the "End" contains the King of Beihai in the Later Han Dynasty, and was ordered by Ming Di to write ten cursive letters, and Zhang Di ordered to write in cursive letters. People think this is named because it is used to play chapters.
