Li Zongge's book is neat and dignified, that is, he records his poems and gives them away, and it is also written in strict format, such as copying Buddhist scriptures in the imperial examination. The poem "Send the Dragon" is an example. However, its posture and brushwork are different from those of most calligraphers at that time, and it mainly adopts Li Beihai's method, which can be traced back to the early works of Erwang and Wang Sengqian, that is, it belongs to the old style of Zhong system. Therefore, his book shape is flat, the strokes are mostly horizontal, the stippling is thick, and there is Li Yi in the brushwork. Mi Fei in Song Dynasty said in Historical Records: "The officials of this dynasty learned from Zhong Wang. Li Zhuan has written this article for a long time, and scholars have been studying his works. They are fat and simple, so as to vote for them and use them to get books. Naturally, they are just fashionable and expensive. " After him, there are indeed many people who follow this book, but those who are spiritual have their own changes. For example, Ouyang Xiu tends to indulge, emphasizing "meaning" rather than sticking to the law; Han Yi, Han Zhen, Yu Pei and Lu Dafang changed slightly. Sima Guang strengthened his plain taste, and it was decades after Li Zongge's death that he went to Xie Qian, Ceng Bu and Su Dongpo. On the same book road, the first two are also quite elegant, but they are not as rigid, changeable and innovative as Su Dongpo.
