Zhang Ji, whose real name is Sun Yi, is a native of Xiangzhou and a scholar in Tianbao. At the end of the Dali period, Yuan Wailang, a member of the school ancestor department, distributed the wealth of Hongzhou. Gao Zhongwu called his tired pronoun Bo, and his hair was at that time. Poetry is refreshing, and there is wind in the road. I compiled a book of poems today.

There are about 40 poems written by Zhang Jishi, mainly other works of traveling and giving away, most of which are five-character seven-character poems and seven-character quatrains. Language understands nature, not sculpture. The four-line poem "a night-mooring near maple bridge", known as Qingyuan, was engraved in Suzhou in the Northern Song Dynasty (Zhu's "Continued the Picture of Wu County"). Since Ouyang Xiu raised the question about "Midnight Bell" in the poem "June 1st", later generations have made comments one after another, and most of them cited examples to illustrate the fact that monks and temples rang bells at night in the Tang Dynasty. Zhang Jishi's other poems show his concern for current events and people's lives. For example, "Nagato is a matter" describes the desolate scene of the countryside after the peasants were called to join the army, and "Appreciating Secretary Li's books and going through the city in autumn night" reflects the situation that the rooms in the Tang Dynasty were moved and the financial situation was tight during the Anshi Rebellion. There is also a poem "Send Judge Zou", which describes that the Qi-Song area was devastated by war. Among them, the words "women stopped building the city, farmers abandoned warm cultivation" and "the fire is still hot, and the wind shakes the sea" were praised by Gao Zhongwu, editor of Zhongxing Collection.
