The main building of Yueyang Tower is rectangular, with a height of19.42m, a depth of14.54m and a width of17.42m.. It has three floors, four pillars, cornices, helmet tops and pure wood structures. Four nanmu gold pillars in the building go straight to the roof, surrounded by cloisters, squares and eaves. The top is covered with glazed yellow tiles, and the configuration is solemn and generous.
On the first floor of Yueyang Tower, there are carved screens, poetry couplets and sculptures of Yueyang Tower. In the middle of the second floor, there is a mahogany woodcarving screen engraved with the "Yueyang Tower" inscribed by the Qing Dynasty calligrapher Zhang Zhao.

Covering an area of135.7m2, with a height of 9m. It is a two-story building with two eaves resting on the top of the mountain and red columns and blue tiles.

Huaifu Pavilion is located on the platform facing the lake below Yueyang Tower. It covers an area of 40 square meters and is 7 meters high. There is a stone tablet in the pavilion, with a portrait of Du Fu and a poem "Climbing Yueyang Tower" engraved on the front and his life story engraved on the back. Corresponding to Sanzui Pavilion is Xianmei Pavilion, a hexagonal pavilion with two floors and three eaves and high cornices, which is made of pure wood. Covering an area of 44 square meters and 7 meters high, it is covered with green glazed tiles.
In the 12th year of Chongzhen in Ming Dynasty (1639), Tao Zongkong, an official of Yuezhou, presided over the reconstruction of Yueyang Tower, and obtained a stone from the sand at the bottom of the building, and removed its muddy water, revealing a dead plum branch with 24 calyx. At that time, people thought it was a sacred thing and called it "Xianmei", but a pavilion was built and stones were placed in it, named "Xianmei Pavilion".
