The story of Wang Xizhi practicing calligraphy, right?
Wang Xizhi practiced calligraphy at the age of seven and was diligent and eager to learn. At the age of seventeen, he stole his father's previous calligraphy works and read them. When he was ripe, he practiced writing. Every day, he sat by the pool and practiced writing, seeing off the dusk and welcoming the dawn. He finished writing more or less ink, wrote more or less rotten pen, washed his pen in the pool every day after practicing his words, and washed a pool of water into ink for a long time. This is the legendary Mo Chi that people saw in Shaoxing today. Wang Xizhi was so absorbed in practicing calligraphy that he forgot to eat and sleep. He was trying to figure out the structure of words when he was eating and walking, and he kept scribbling words on his body by hand. Over time, his skirt was worn out, and everything pays off. Once, he wrote a plaque for someone and wrote a few words on the board, and sent it to be carved. The engraver found that the ink stains of the characters had penetrated into the board for about three minutes. Therefore, people often use the idiom "incisive" to describe the strong brushwork of calligraphy, and later use it to describe the profundity of opinions and discussions on things. When Wang Xizhi was 13 years old, he accidentally discovered that his father had a calligraphy book of Shuo Bi, and he stole it to read. His father was worried that he was too young to keep his family heirloom secret, and promised to teach it when he grew up. Unexpectedly, Wang Xizhi knelt down and asked his father to allow him to read now. His father was very moved and finally agreed to his request. Wang Xizhi practiced calligraphy very hard, even eating and walking, and he really practiced all the time. Without pen and paper, he scratched on his body, and over time, his clothes were cut. Sometimes practice calligraphy to the point of forgetfulness. Once, when he practiced calligraphy, he forgot to eat, and his family sent the meal to the study. Without thinking, he dipped it in ink and ate it, still feeling very delicious. When the family found out, it was already dark. Wang Xizhi often writes in the pool, so he washes the inkstone in the pool. After a long time, the pool runs out of ink, so he is called "Mo Chi". At present, Lanting in Shaoxing, Xigushan in Yongjia, Zhejiang, Guizong Temple in Lushan and other places have places of interest known as "Mo Chi".
