It is not entirely the responsibility of readers to make mistakes. In today's film and television dramas, including prime minister Liu, iron teeth and copper teeth and Qianlong dynasty, the characters in the plot are called "Little Shenyang".

In fact, this is really all wet.
So, what should Xiao Shenyang's real name be?
Xiao Shenyang, whose surname is "Niu Lu" and original name is Shanbao, was renamed Xiao Shenyang by the school teacher after going to school.
In other words, his full name should be "Niu Hu Lu Shan Bao"; Later, the name was changed to Little Shenyang, so its full name should be "Little Shenyang on Niuhu Road". In the rest of this book, for convenience, we will call him Xiao Shenyang directly.
"Cow Road", this is a Manchu surname, a very extraordinary surname.
Traditionally, the surnames of Han people are generally single words, such as Zhao, Qian, Sun, Li, Zhou, Wu, Zheng and Wang. There are also a few compound surnames with two words.
There are three main ways to name the compound surnames of these Han people:
First, because of the place names, such as Dongguo, Nanguo, Dongmen, Ximen, Zuo Qiu and so on.
Second, because of the official names, such as Sima, Situ, Sikong and Sikou.
Third, it comes directly from the surnames of ethnic minorities, such as Yuwen, Murong, Wu Zixu and Wanxian.
Manchu people in Qing dynasty rarely had single surnames, but generally had compound surnames of more than two words. According to Tongzhi Genealogy in Qing Dynasty, there are 647 surnames of Manchu * * *, among which three-tenths are Jurchen surnames found in their ancestors, some are named after place names, and some are Han surnames. After the Mongols perished, some Mongolian surnames became part of Manchu surnames. The naming principles of these Manchu compound surnames are similar to those of the Han nationality, and there are three main ways:
First, the surnames obtained by tribal names and geographical names: the most typical is the surname of Ye Lala, Empress Dowager Cixi, also known as "Nora" and "Nora" by later generations. Among them, "Yehe" is the name of the tribe; "Nala" is the name of a local river, that is, the geographical name. In addition, there are the Majia family who lives in Majia, the Tongjia family who lives in Majia ("Tongjia family" is the biggest surname of Manchu), the Ningguta family who lives in Ningguta area and the Wusuli family who lives by the Wusuli River.
The second is the surname directly derived from other ethnic minorities, such as "Borzijit". "Borzijit" originated from the gold family in Mongolia. "Borzijigit" was originally the surname of Mongolian national hero Temujin (Genghis Khan)-that is to say, the people of "Borzijigit" should be the direct descendants of Temujin (Genghis Khan). The original meaning of "Borzijit people" is "people with blue eyes"-that is to say, people surnamed "Borzijit people" should have some European ancestry. 19 12 After the demise of the Manchu regime, the original "Borzijit Banner" of Manchu and Mongolian people has been renamed as Bao, Bao and Bao. In other words, today's Manchu and Mongolian surnames Bao, Bao and Bao should all be direct descendants of Genghis Khan.
Third, take the totem worshipped as the surname: the most typical one is the "Road of Cattle" in Little Shenyang.
"Niulu" family is a very big and ancient surname in Qing Dynasty. The origin of this surname is recorded in detail in the Eight Banners of Manchu Dynasty compiled by the Qing Dynasty. It is recorded in the book that "Niulu" is one of the oldest surnames of Manchu, which existed in the period of Jurchen. This book also records that the "Cow Road" was originally mainly distributed in Songhua River Basin, Mudanjiang River Basin and Changbai Mountain Area.
"Niuhulu" originally meant a fierce animal "Wolf" in Manchu. "Wolf" is one of the most important totems worshipped by the ancestors of Manchu Jurchen nationality. Jurchen took "Wolf" as her surname out of worship.
During the long historical development, the appellation of the surname "Niuzhilu" has changed several times: it was called "Lielie" in Liao Dynasty, "Nvxilie" in Jin Dynasty, "Yiqilie" in Yuan Dynasty and "Niuzhilu" in Ming Dynasty.
Niuzhilu is a typical Manchu surname with one surname and two surnames. Some Manchu people with this surname changed their surname to Niu according to the transliteration of the first syllable of Niu Lulu after the demise of the Qing Dynasty, and more Manchu people with this surname changed their surname to Lang according to the Chinese homonym of Niu Lulu. In other words, today's Manchu people's surnames of "Niu" or "Lang" should all be of the same clan as their ancestors in Little Shenyang.
After the demise of the Qing Dynasty, many Manchu people with compound surnames changed their surnames to single surnames, just like Niu Zhilu. Aisingiorro, for example, originally meant "gold". After the demise of the Qing Dynasty, many people whose original surname was "Aisingiorro" were renamed "Jin". There are also a few who have not changed, such as Mr. Aisinggiorro Qigong, who died not long ago. Another example is Empress Dowager Cixi's surname Ye Henala. After the demise of the Qing Dynasty, many people with this surname changed their surnames to Ye or Na.
There are also eight Manchu surnames in history of manchu. The popular sayings now refer to: Tong (Tong Jia), Guan (Guaer's family), Ma (Ma's family), Suo (Suo Chuluo), Qi (Qijia), Fu (Fu Cha), Na (Nora) and Lang (Niu). In addition, there are surnames such as Ilgen Jueluo, Shu Mulu, Murphy, Dong 'e, Huifa, Wula and Zhao Jia. For details, please refer to the book Eight Manchu Surnames.
