Linghu Park is located in Linghu South Road, Anqing City, Anhui Province. It is built on the basis of Linghu Lake and is named after many mountains. It was originally a natural lake, connected with Shitang Lake and Pogang Lake. It was built around the Revolution of 1911, covering an area of 38.64 hectares. It is the earliest garden-style park in Anhui Province, and is famous for its Linghe landscape and "Linghu jathyapple" scenic spot.
Linghu used to be an ancient battlefield for military strategists in past dynasties. The Taiping Army Sanke Anqing and the famous Anqing Defence War both left their remains here. At that time, Taiping Army built 13 Battalion on the north bank of Linghu Lake and 5 Battalion on the south bank. 18 pieces of Taiping Army weapons unearthed in Yangjiazuiying, North Shore in 1985 were collected by China Military Museum and Anqing Museum respectively. Linghu Park collected nine self-portrait poems by Deng, an outstanding calligrapher and seal engraver in Qing Dynasty, which were engraved in the Hu Temple and converted into "Deng Monument Hall". On the northeast side of jathyapple Pavilion, there is a famous Huangmei Opera performance artist Yan Fengying Memorial Hall, which consists of the Huangmei Pavilion gatehouse, memorial hall, Yan Fengying statue and garden sketches, and exhibits works inscribed by more than 40 famous painters and painters at home and abroad. In addition, there are children's amusement parks, bonsai gardens, flower beds, nurseries, zoos, teahouses and so on. lianhu park
Anqing Lianhu Park is located in the southeast of Linghu Scenic Area, named after Lianhu, formerly known as Chunguang Garden, which was built in 1985. There is a statue of Cheng Changgeng, a Peking Opera, and a statue of Wu Liangyong, a 1998 "steel warrior fighting floods" who died heroically in Anqing City. In the southeast corner, there is the Anqing Revolutionary Cultural Relics Exhibition Hall, which displays the life story of diplomat General Huang Zhen.
John Wan Park (Citizen Square)
Located between Lotus Lake and East Lake, with a total land area of 34.68 hectares, it was formerly known as Citizen Park, which was completed on May, 2007 1. At the beginning of the same year 10, the municipal government approved the renaming of public parks and public squares as John Wan Park and John Wan Square. Functionally, the park is divided into four areas: entertainment scenic area, commercial and cultural area, Huangmei Opera Art Park and ecological landscape area. The commercial and cultural district is the core area of the citizen park, a powerful urban public activity center, and the main place for citizens' leisure and entertainment after completion. The center has two buildings, A and B, with a total area of 23,400 square meters, for commercial and exhibition purposes. As an important part of the public park landscape, John Wan Square is oval in plan, with a total area of 2.6 1 hectare. There is a large fountain in the square, surrounded by 12 relief columns, on which the twelve new scenes of Anqing are carved. Xiaoling Lake landscape area covers an area of 80 mu, and together with the green belt running through the park, it constitutes a unique ecological landscape area. There are sunny beaches, observation decks, wooden trestles and other attractions on the shore of Xiaoling Lake.
