Shuanglong Cave consists of an inner hole, an outer hole and an ear hole. The entrance is Xuan Lang, and the stalactites hanging on both sides are shaped like faucets, hence the name "Shuanglong Cave". The outer hole is spacious and can accommodate thousands of people. In the hot summer, people have a feeling that "the mountains are sweating like rain and the caves are cold".
There are many cliff carvings on the outer cave wall. The word "Shuanglong Cave" on the north wall of the cave was handed down from the Tang Dynasty, and later generations copied and carved it. The word "hole" on the south wall is Mo Bao of Song Dynasty calligrapher Wu Lin.
The five characters "Thirty-six holes" were inscribed by Mr. Yu Youren, a modern calligrapher. On the innermost stone wall, there are the stone carvings and inscriptions of "Water Stone Wonders" in the travel notes of famous people exploring caves in Qing Dynasty, and the three-character stone carvings of "Shuanglong Cave" by modern Hefei tourists, which are very interesting. He carved the word "dragon" in reverse, meaning that the two leading figures in Shuanglong Cave can only see their true colors when they stand in the cave hall and look in the other direction.
There is a yellow "stone waterfall" hanging outside the cave, which looks like an ancient robe. This is the legendary "Mr. Lu's hiding place". According to legend, Lv Dongbin of the Eight Immortals once hid here. There is also a legend that a village girl swore not to marry or rob her rich man and was locked in a cave. This is where Lv Dongbin came to rescue the village girl in the cave.
Near the northern end of the hall, there are landscapes such as "Camel Looking Up", "Shi Wa Peeping into the Cave", "Lion Treading" and "Xiao Jin Spreading its Wings", especially the karst landscape "Fairyland" in the cave, which makes people feel like they have come to the outside world, and it is beautiful.
There is a huge Shuanglong cave screen stone between the inner and outer caves, which only leads to the waterway, with a length of 10 and a width of more than 3 meters. The separation and communication between the inner and outer caves form the most distinctive feature of Shuanglong Cave.
