Ji Xu's Original Text _ Translation and Appreciation

Ji Xu (1162 ~1214), also known as Yuan Wen, was born in Songtaili, Yongjia, Zhejiang. His ancestral home is Xuzhuangyuan Lane, Anhai, Jinjiang, Fujian, and he is a descendant of Xu Hui, the champion of the Tang Dynasty. Chaozhou Taishouding Imperial Examination began in Yongjia, Wenzhou. The third son Xu Ding from Jinjiang, Fujian, was named "Shi Zhi En" by his father. He lives in floating counties, is honest and upright for officials, abides by the law, and has done useful things for the people. "Poetry and Zhao Xuru are like one hand, covering four spirits and one axis, and two talents are especially similar" (Ji Yun, Catalogue of Sikuquanshu) has Poems of Erjiting. I also like calligraphy, "no food to paper and pen;" The following year, the book was slightly closer to Lanting (Ye Shi's Epitaph of Xu) and later changed to Changtai Ling. He died before he reached the official position. In the Southern Song Dynasty, Zhao Xu (Hui Ling), Ji Xu (Lingyuan), Weng Juan (Lingshu) and Zhao Shixiu (Lingxiu) were collectively called "Yongjia Four Spirits". Among them, Weng Juan is from Yueqing County, Wenzhou, and the other three are from Yongjia County, Wenzhou. Wenzhou was called Yongjia County in ancient times, and Yongjia County was ruled by Wenzhou in Song Dynasty. The font size of the four poets all has the word "Ling", with similar interests, the same creative ideas and similar poetic styles, and they are called "Yongjia Four Spirits" in the world.

Ji Xu's father Xu Ding is a scholar named Xu CuO in Anhai, Jinjiang, Fujian. He lives in Chaozhou. His family moved from Jinjiang to Yongjia and lived in Songtai. Weng Juan, who is also known as the "Four Spirits of Yongjia" with Ji Xu, once wrote a poem "Send Ji Xu to Longxi in late autumn and cross the old lane in the south of Quancheng": "Elegant sentences in the volume are hard to compare with famous craftsmen. I am close to Wei Lu, and my hometown is very old. There are many chrysanthemums on the trip, and the luggage is half filled with books. If you don't believe in civilized generations, no one will recommend you. " The title of the poem "Quannan Old Lane" and the poem "Laosu" point out that Ji Xu's hometown is in Quanzhou (Quannan), and Ji Xu once returned to his former residence of Xu Zhuangyuan Lane in Jinjiang when he went to work in Longxi County.

Ji Xu also wrote Quanshan Collection, which is Qingyuan Mountain in northern quanzhou county. It can be seen that although Ji Xu was sent abroad, he still did not forget his ancestral home. In his life, Ji Xu got this position because of his father's "kindness to the world". His official career is ups and downs, honest and clean, law-abiding, and he has done many useful things for the people. During his tenure in Jian 'an (now Jian 'ou, Fujian), he appeased the people of Maxi, "only three people were guilty"; Supervise the production of tribute tea and refuse to take more. When the manager of Yongzhou (now Hunan) joined the army, local officers and men arrested civilians and urged taxes. Ji Xu found and released them one by one.

Ji Xu, a literary writer, and his three fellow friends-Zhao Xu, Hui Ling, Weng Juan, Lingshu and Lingxiu-were called "Four Spirits" and started the so-called "Jianghu School". The "Four Spirits" learn from Jia Dao and Yao He, flaunting the wild and thin style, with narrow themes, shallow poetry and even triviality. Ji Xu is no exception. There are five laws to recite, such as "Huang Bi": "Huang Biping is on the sandy shore, and Liu Sechun is in the pond. Clear water knows good wine, thin mountains know the poor. Chicken dog Tian Jiajing. Sang Ma is old and new. Meet a traveler. Half of them are Yongjia people. " The seven verses can be recited, such as "New Cool": "Water is full of rice leaves, sunlight penetrates the trees and smoke is low. Huang Li also loves new cool and good, flying over the green hills. "

Ji Xu's poems are full of water, rice and leaves. The sun shines through the treetops and the smoke is low. Orioles also love new cool and good, flying over the green hills and singing in the shadows. -Song Jixu's "New Cool" New Cool

The fields are full of water, the rice leaves are neat, the sun shines through the treetops, and the smoke is low.

Orioles also love new cool and good, flying over the green hills and singing in the shadows. There are 300 ancient poems, and birds written in the countryside suddenly sound like A Zheng in Qiu Chan, listening to cicadas chirping on willow branches. The stream is as clear as a mirror, and the waves come from Ye Fei. -Xu Qian's Autumn Trip in the Song Dynasty

Qiu Chan's voice is like a guzheng, listening to cicadas walking beside willows.

The stream is as clear as a mirror, and the waves come from Ye Fei. In autumn, the scenery is quiet and the lonely sleep is free. The moon gives birth to the forest, and the rain stays overnight like autumn. Looking back at Lian Fang, who sings Du Ruozhou? There is no dream at night, and you can swim if you have a dream. -Song Xu Wei "Xia You" Xia You
