His small script originated in Zhong You, represented by the Song of the North Stone Drum Study in the Post to the Mountain Garden, with neat and steady brushwork. Yan Zhenqing's knot and Liu Gongquan's pen are combined together, very thin and hard, but without the charm of Zhao and Dong. The masterpiece is Zhong Xiangtie.
